Evansville wouldn't be a half bad small city and its really nice in places. The only problem with Evansville area is that it gets dragged down economically because its so close to Kentucky which is 47th in the country in education and income. Kentucky truly does suck but Evansville has some nice stuff especially the East side.
I've lived in several towns(Indy,IN., Knoxville, Tn., Louisville, Ky.) and so far Evansville is the best. There is more to do here than in those larger cities. Evansville has the 2nd largest festival in the nation behind Mardi gras and until this year hosted the unlimited Hydroplane races. There is the casino and Evansville is within 2 hours of 3 major cities if you must visit those places.
If you like this city you never been anywhere else in the world.

I love this place..but I live in france! my familly live there ( cousins, uncle , etc..) the casino is great!
