This satellite was dead, decaying, full of hydrazine, & the tank was expected to survive re-entry according to the military of course, but even if it was not true, the smaller the mass at that height, the more pull earths gravity would have on that object, thus making it decay anyway. So how much debris is left behind? Practically none.
There are obviously some satellites further out into space generating a 3D data grid for this to be possible. And the only way to shoot a missile without it being intercepted like this is to have a secondary missile on it to intercept the interceptor. It is not rocket science

We all know that if something can hit a satellite orbiting at 250 km above Earth with a speed of 7,8km/s , It also can hit an ICBM missile, or an enemy spy satellite, orbiting at comparable speed and altitude. Few years ago it would have been considered "pratcically impossible"

There should be amateur footage because notification of the shoot down was sent out to the public about one to two hours prior to the spy satellite being shot down.

@anisocoro Rubish. This satelite is the size of a school bus. An ICBM is the size of a paper bin and comes with various decoys and what is known as 'penetration aids'. This satellite's trajectory was known in advance and tracked for days before taking the shot.
In a real attack by a sophisticated enemy radar would not be much help in targeting the ABM due to high altitude nuclear explosions causing massive disturbances in the ionosphere.

We all know that if something can hit a satellite orbiting at 250 km above Earth with a speed of 7,8km/s , It also can hit an ICBM missile, or an enemy spy satellite, orbiting at comparable speed and altitude. Few years ago it would have been considered "pratcically impossible"

See any amateur footage on the web of the spy satellite being shot down? I didn't think so.
There should be amateur footage because notification of the shoot down was sent out to the public about one to two hours prior to the spy satellite being shot down.
I'm fairly sure I know why there isn't any real footage, but it really doesn't matter.

@anisocoro Rubish. This satelite is the size of a school bus. An ICBM is the size of a paper bin and comes with various decoys and what is known as 'penetration aids'. This satellite's trajectory was known in advance and tracked for days before taking the shot.
In a real attack by a sophisticated enemy radar would not be much help in targeting the ABM due to high altitude nuclear explosions causing massive disturbances in the ionosphere.

Yeah. We weren't there to help Serbia. We were there under the auspices of the UN to help the Bosnians, the Croatians, and the Kosovars. And yes, the US is an all-volunteer force. And volunteers are harder to come by than you might think: hence all of the veteran's benefits. Maybe a dual-system based on conscription (less benefits) and enlistment (more benefits) would be a better option.
And most "poor" volunteers (which I resent, being such an individual) are conservative. Unlike me.

That much is certainly true in the USA considering it's not entirely a volunteer force when you respect the fact that the very poor make up the bulk of it's force - poor people who want a chance at education that would otherwise not be made available without a GI bill. In Canada, where I'm from, the gov't has other programs that don't require you to risk life and limb fighting unjust wars.
