It's the rasetsusen glitch. If you hold up and press down while doing rasetsusen in the PC version, Zero/Layer will fly upwards.

Actually I know that

X started to change its style after X3

It seems to let player enjoy "how you destroy the enemies"

But before X4, X is a game series that you can finish a stage without beating almost 90% enemys(some stage you can even try "no beat")

And the enemies are not putting irregularly, you can skip them with skilfully controlling skill.

But anyway, I still think this is a great game series.

Because there may be some players don't like skipping enemies but destroying enemies:)
