Woman of Singapore should go to ESM Goh CT. He fixes woman with businesses in return for support for PAP. One old hag lady told me years ago. CPIB never investigate him. Why? CPIB families got favours from him?
clearly a financially and politically successful man.. but he appears to lack intelligence.. "Fools are so sure of themselves and wise men full of doubt"..Bertrand Russell... Singapore is hugely systematically and financially ahead of many, many nations.. but the citizens pay the price of being robotic
One of these days this psychopath will successfully die...he's a dictator and a fascist who is above all serving his own and his family interests. He has crippled the whole nation people so that he has full control. So far it works because partly he is a coward who knows his limitations and because Singapore is so small that control can be maintained in a totalitarian way.
@commz59 ultimately LKY is serving only himself and his family. Of course my view is very subjective as I'm counted among one of this cruel person victim. LKY is an excessive man because he feels he's invincible. He's also what he is because fundamentally he's an insecure person.
To all the people who have read the foul words this man has spewed forth: do not despair, for he is quite literally insane. His blog's address can be found in his profile (on the right of the profile page). Amongst other things, he claims to have escaped political assassination (in, "They call it dirty war"). Another cringe-worthy entry was his juxtaposition of Lee Kuan Yew with the comic book villain "Darkseid" (in, "Meet Lee Kuan Yew alter ego"). Enjoy ;-)
@lost88 And if people believe what you just wrote then they are insane. Singapore is known to have tried to replace prison with IMH as a place to detain political dissidents. Prison made heroes out of dissidents while by putting them in IMH they hope to ruin theior credibility. Another Singapore shame.
@lost88 Singapore people should hold their leaders into account. LKY deserves to be in prison by all standard. But then again Singapore is a serfdom. Singaporean daily prayer usually begins with "In the name of the father, the son and the cowardly spirit" "Am in"
@lost88 Your elite murder another foreign student named David Widjaja and your Rule of LEE denied the family any justice DESPITE THE EVIDENCES. The media is state controlled so Singaporeans only hear and read Singapore version of this shameless state sanctioned homicide. Like I said Singaporeans should wake up, their leaders are as dirty as the crab in the mud.
I'm a malay Malaysian, and Mr. LKY has earned my respect for him. Granted, he may have done things in the past which may resemble a political "strict father" but like all strict fathers, they only have the best intentions in mind, which is for his "family", the people.
This man is a tyrant. A man without principle. He is an insecure man. A coward by nature that's why he collaborated with everyone he must. He is not a great man. This man is simply a crook. Plain simple crook.
@TheDonCaribeno This person has ruined people's life. I have done great things with my life. I do not need to tell you. But it is certain that the likes of you can never accomplished.
@TheDonCaribeno I've done things that are more miraculous than this Lee. By my standard what Lee has done is not a miracle at all. And what have you done with your life?
And did you guys know the General Election in Singapore is fast approaching? It's the first time that all 87 (or 83, can't remember) seats in Parliament are contested. And the opposition parties all seem to be made up of duds. I worry for the future of Singapore. I don't know what Singapore will become without this great Octogenarian in the future.
@minxinglee In the United States we have a bicameral legislature, consisting of the House of Representatives which has 435 members, and the upper house, i.e., the Senate which has 100 members. I'm basically calling every elected representative in my country incompetent, irrational, self interested cowards who are quickly leading my country into social instability and economic dislocation. I wish we had 535 Lee Kuan Yew's as representatives.
Thats the problem with western democracy, which can nvr produce a single LKY. Americans call it "democracy", I call it uttter rubbish. Every 2 yrs a rep is up for election. The concept forces a rep to focus on his/her re-election prospects over serving the ppl/country. Irrational votes r made at times cuz the rep needs to money or votes to get reelected. However, sometimes the right decision is the most unpopular decision. E.g. iraq. (to be continued)
If elections were once every 5-6 years like sg, politicians would be more focused to produce good governance over popularity or money. More long term policies can be implemented. Same shit in Canada. Minority govt allows the opposition and incumbents to ignite an election cuz the polls r good. Westerners have to get over the concepts that frequent elections r part of democracy and dictatorship=bad and democracy=good in order to achieve good governance like Singapore.
@chrish767 Singapore, in my opinion, has the best economic model, specifically in the ratio of creative initiative and longterm centralized structural planning. Thank you for your insightful comments!
Yes, Singapore is an economic model that has been emulated by many Asian countries including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and our rival Malaysia. It is something that the west should learn and follow. On social policy, I think we can do better. Not to say we should implement free health care, cuz that would create tradeoffs with other important programs but more benefits for kids and seniors. You're welcome and thank you for your kind praises.
@chrish767 I totally agree. American politics is polluted by reciprocal altruism in the form of campaign contributions which then prompt irrational policy initiatives - the net effect being a gross misallocation of resources from water management to resources alloted to schools.
American politics is polluted by 2 prospects, votes and money. It is an election and political system that encourages it. Frequent elections and a lack of clear campaign financing rules hurt America's governance . The electoral college system is another problem. I think LKY would agree when I say that unions r hurting America's schools. They were good in the 50-60s, but irrelevant today. Teachers should be paid well to maintain a higher level standard of learning but not overpaid.
@chrish767 Great comment! I couldn't possibly agree more. My country's would do well to learn from Singapore and other East Asian nation's economic/social success.

Reporter: why should a young person enter politics today? What is there to fight for?
Lee Kwan Yeuw: you’ve got to fight for what you have; if you lose what you have, and you become like the Philippines!
Brilliant man; the right leader for Singapore; the right place, at the right time.
