@bigtimlikewhoa K20a2 head has WAY BETTER air flow then the k24 you are completely correct i LOVE my frank set up, But even though the head can rev higher you still can't rev higher then 7800 unless you build the bottom end for it the k24a2 bottom end can't rev higher then 7800 on stock internals

@tmenzo939 The only difference with the z1 versus A2 heads are their cams and valvetrain set up. Z1 cams are slightly aggressive than the A2 cams but its NOT a night&day difference as an "ALL OUT" set up. As far as valvetrain goes an A2 valvetrain set up will be more beneficial compared to Z1 because the difference in valve keepers where the aftermarket supports only the A2 heads. People that build z1 heads convert their valvetrain to an A2. I think we know what we're doing man lol..

@krasav4ik82 Well straight up All Motor tells you there is no f/i involved. More than likely k-pro was involved as well, as with practically any mods on a k-engine you will receive the most out of it with k-pro tuning.

Those numbers are on a Dyno Dynamics, not sure how accurate those are. But I know for a fact that is you had dyno'd on a DynoJet those numbers would have been about 40 hp greater! I have had my Redline dyno'd on both and the my opinion the DynoJet is more accurate.
I give you props! I love the all motor set-up! In fact I am in Okinawa, Japan, and I have my heart set on the 2005 Integra Type R!

its true, k series makes serious hp, my buddies old k24/k20 rsx made around 270-280 fwhp and it kept up really really well with me and my brothers two ls1s... and i our ls1s don't run like shit, they run really good

@bigtimlikewhoa its simple physics. high octane burns slower/cooler than lower octane. higher compression (ratio between head and pistons) has a significantly smaller area of combustion, leading to better combustion, and higher heat transfer. I guess you could run 93 on such a high compression ratio,but you would need a decent amount of overlap and ignition retard. making your engine run really hot. Just remember the guy from youtube said "dont be suprised when you blow a headgasket or overheat"
@RlCHART LOL dude contact cartunes performance here from DFW and or Chris Macellaro who's a travel tuner but also tunes at Import Car Center in Grapevine TX and also an instructor at EFI University and he'll tell you himself that I ran a 93 octane on this motor during tuning. We even had to make a run at a nearest gas station to get more 93 cuz I started running low on fuel during tune as I came with barely half a tank in the morning. Like I said I have all the vouches here in DFW that I ran 93.

So this is a 272whp daily driver.... I'm thinking here, how long this engine with that kind of huge power(for NA car) will last? Am asking since I don't know anything about Honda engines....
Turbocharged swedes have been my preference so far but I'm considering to try something totally different in about year or two....
@PlatoTacitus It'll last a long time. As long as he doesn't over rev it or crash it... The fact that it's naturally aspirated, it will most likely going to be very reliable, especially if the engine is built properly...

@kingcollins1123.. What do you mean I wouldn't make 272? Lol I clearly made 272 whp. From your video you said the RSX you raced has all bolt ons and tune? Well I don't have just bolt ons I have a built internals so I don't know what's so impossible with this. There are plenty other k20/k24 all motor set ups that are running on the streets with 300+whp. I have all vouches here in the DFW area that I made this power all motor.

@RlCHART you dont need race gas on that setup... im doing the exact same setup he has.. built k20/k24 12.5.1 compression motor.. an i wont need race gas.. ill also be daily driving mine aswell... anything higher than 12.5.1 compression on that motor will need race gas tho..

@RlCHART since you're so smart about physics why don't you post some of the FACTS that you're coming up with here about how I can't run 93 octane on a 12.5cr motor. Why don't you show everybody here where you get this "knowledge" from.

@bigtimlikewhoa its simple physics. high octane burns slower/cooler than lower octane. higher compression (ratio between head and pistons) has a significantly smaller area of combustion, leading to better combustion, and higher heat transfer. I guess you could run 93 on such a high compression ratio,but you would need a decent amount of overlap and ignition retard. making your engine run really hot. Just remember the guy from youtube said "dont be suprised when you blow a headgasket or overheat"

@RlCHART LOL dude contact cartunes performance here from DFW and or Chris Macellaro who's a travel tuner but also tunes at Import Car Center in Grapevine TX and also an instructor at EFI University and he'll tell you himself that I ran a 93 octane on this motor during tuning. We even had to make a run at a nearest gas station to get more 93 cuz I started running low on fuel during tune as I came with barely half a tank in the morning. Like I said I have all the vouches here in DFW that I ran 93.

@kingcollins1123 1. 1998 jeep grand cherokee 5.9 about 430 Hp.. 2 1998 Integra type-r with K20 with about 240 hp and 3 and a suck 2005 Benz CLK55 :) lol Im 24 and bought all my car my self. and your self?? o yea I just bought my wife a 2001 Audi S4.
I don't have any "race car" but i did help my friend build his 1997 supra TT.... dose that count?

Some machine this K20/K24 madness has not started out in ireland yet mainly because the K24 is rare but all our K20 engines are fresh out of Jap ep3, dc5 and cl7

@sciullo779 yea. I was held back a lot from using a stock RBC and stock Throttle Body. I would be in the 300's only if I upgraded those.

So this is a 272whp daily driver.... I'm thinking here, how long this engine with that kind of huge power(for NA car) will last? Am asking since I don't know anything about Honda engines....
Turbocharged swedes have been my preference so far but I'm considering to try something totally different in about year or two....

@PlatoTacitus It'll last a long time. As long as he doesn't over rev it or crash it... The fact that it's naturally aspirated, it will most likely going to be very reliable, especially if the engine is built properly...
