@wily4 No, it's actually Venom. Venom joined the Dark Avengers but they try to put off a super hero image, which they do well, they ARE super heroes they're just not as..... sophisticated..... Osborn (Iron Patriot) told Venom to try to keep the original Black Suit Spider-Man look so he doesn't scare people.

There are some differences between the Dark Spidey and Spidey with the black suit, you can see Venoms giant muscles and the eyes are alot different, along with the spider being slightly.

the diaphragm joint is more anatomically correct.then a waist swivel.check it out for urself turn to a side ull notice ur belly button will more or less stay a lined to the center. so a waist really isnt a very articulated place,as for one's ribs chest and shoulders have a lot more movement in comparison to one's waist.i think people just got so use to toys having the movement at the waist since toys of the 70s when its not there people are like WTF.good review and the daken one was good too

a few of these have waist articulation. bucky does, all the females do. i picked up a firestar in the 3 pack and she waist movement, but on mine, it seems like when they made it the plastic melted together or something so its stuck

I'm watching the vid and notice that there IS no waist joint, which is just balls. There's no excuse to not have one. Their regular Spider-Man, which saw about 7 different releases ALREADY, and Captain America both have a waist swivel and diaphragm joint.

On the other hand, the articulation on these figures IS improving, so be on the look out for that.

If you are getting into some of these figs, I suggest checking out some in the new Joe line. Never thought I would, but I did. It's cool, too.

This is the one pack that I haven't planned on picking up yet, but I'm going to have every single other pack, so I may as well frigging get it... that and that Dark Spider-Man is pretty awesome.

I'm in the same boat. Legends ARE better, but these aren't too shabby. I caved a bit with Universe in the last few months, but they ARE pretty goddamn nice. In the last two months, I went from 4 Universe main line figures to over 20. That's not including Iron Man series or Wolverine. They're nice.
