The ditch in my neighborhood has DOZENS of these things swimming around. I go down there with my .22 pellet gun and shoot them a lot because they are a big nuisance to all the people that live near the ditch.

Nutria are docile creatures. They're awesome! In Germay they claim to have chased out the rats!

@ccalidor Yes, she kills nutrias, armadillos, opossums, raccoons, and any other furred small game. I had trained many dogs for hunting but when I got her I did not think she would do it but she does very well.
