I know it came out on the PC, PS1 and later the GBC, but not the PS2. Many places (including wikipedia) state that it came out on the PS2, it's a simple error, unless copies of the game don't exist anywhere :)

This was the best Alone in the Dark game in my opinion. I had the PS1 version, pretty sure the PS2 version wasn't released in the USA but the graphics in the PS2 version look about the same as the Dreamcast version which I have played.

this was the first ever PS game I played.... so awesome! It scared the hell outta me and I loved it.

from there i went to RE and then Silent Hill.... but this game is the one that won my heart :D

Something so creepy about it and the desperation for ammo made it that much better...lol.

The fact that you could play through with two different characters and two different actual stories was amazing for back then... plus the audio in the game is great!

Technically it's a different Edward Carnby.

This one was born in 1968, after the first 3 games were supposed to have happened (AitD took place in 1925, then backwards to 1924 for 2, then forward to 1925 again for 3 which happens after 1) so he could be in more modern times without trying to explain how he was still so young after so long. In 5, they tie the story in with the first 3, making why he's still alive part of the story.

This Edward isn't entirely cannon, is all I'm saying.

Carnby is a god. He is a very dark character. When this game came out, it caused a big bam. It was amazing and very scary. One of the few that scared even me who had became immune after the RE games. They should renew this game like RE1, it will be awesome!
