  • MEANWHILE AT PIXAR...

  • its really hard.. and need more effort.. but the result is.. awesome

  • I wish to work there someday :') I'm learning Blender for now

  • 1:08 ........woody's looking into my soul and it's kinda creppy

  • they r using autodesk maya

  • Yup, Mac's are the best for good animation and character graphics :) I wanna do that lol

  • does anybody notice Remy in the desk at 1:08? CUTEEEE!

  • @MusicianSoul42 yes! love pixar characters :)

  • 3ds max or maya?

  • @TheGennaios Pixar uses their own in-house 3D software, Marionette, for modeling and animating. For rendering they use Renderman, which they also created, but you can buy Renderman to use with Autodesk Maya

  • @giwduleoj i use 3ds MAX at uni, but im going to switch to Maya for the new academic year! :)

  • @TheGennaios im learning maya! shouldn't be too difficult as i know 3ds max pretty well :)

  • 4 years to make this movie?! AWESOME!

  • I can watch this movie over and over and can't enough of it

  • Soon, I will go to work at PIXAR!

  • i love them T.T !!

  • love that music. anyone know what it is?

  • as an animation major i can say tell y'all this is not so much hard as it is frustrating to get all the litte things down.

  • @SakuraDiJi same. just imagine animating Woody's crazy legs & arms as he runs, ugh!

  • Man,i'd like to know what programm does they use to do the animation....

  • @Martinbrufal2 Maya and 3Ds max

  • who is the guy that animated the dance at the end of the film????? that guy should get an award

  • constipated look

  • @sanajleh2009 no, they did loads of other films inbetween remember, ratatouille, cars, monsters inc, wall e, up

  • rancho relaxo

  • man what programme do they use to make it

  • It's so complicated... Look how hard they work...

  • I read that they cme up with the story over a weekend. that was after they lost all the Toy Story 2 files tho. before that toy story 3 was going to be quite different.

  • Carlos baena @1:37 !!! He's awesome.

  • No one dislike it because it's perfect!!! Obviously

  • the masters at work.

  • look its Boo from monsters inc. :)

  • This IS my future <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • omg i dunno wich pogrammes they used but i want them! the ultimate dream you know. to bad i live in the netherlands.

  • I need the name of song or album name !! please

  • I love seeing how they make these movies! Did u know that in almost every Disney movie there are references to other Disney films in the movie? In Toy Story 3 they had LIghtning McQueen and Nemo in the daycare. In Aladdin,Genie had a Goofey hat on at the end. They usually put characters in a random scene, but no one really notices lol

  • wow these ppl are amaizing cos i cnt work when some one is watching or recording.

  • Wow!! I had no idea making an animated film would be so....complicated!! It was worth it though! I wish they'd make another but I'm pretty sure that this was the conclusion...

  • omg toy dtory 3 took 11 yrs thts all my life cuz im 11

  • 1:13 I want that desktop background ;]

  • @HLJokerRP that was my line!

  • This movie is my childhood, and when I saw Toy Story 3, I cried at the end, because I felt bad how Andy just abandoned them. D: and that it was another toy story film finished. :C

  • @martijnmartens92 Pixar has been using Renderman for all their films

  • @TiNKERhq only for rendering i believe. otherwise they use maya and mudbox

  • no wonder they took 11 years lol but it turned out great BEST MOVIE OF THE SUMMER!!

  • @ItsFlapJack umm i agree but actually they started about maybe 2 years ago , they did not started 11 years ago , i think ...

  • @BlackSpid3y nope 11 years...

  • @ItsFlapJack oh sorry my bad , DISNEY really did a great job on this, as always :-D thats why i love disney

  • @BlackSpid3y :D i KNOW

  • @ItsFlapJack whoo hoo!

  • @ItsFlapJack Lol,, they didnt start making it until late 2009, but if you mean 11 years since the last movie then yeah :)

  • @kontakkis No thats way too late maybe late 2006 early 2007 because the average animator animates 3.5 minutes a month so you do the maths probably over 1.5 years to animate completely depending on how many animators you have and the quality you want and probably 3 years altogether that includes making 3d models, storyboards, scripts, sound, animation, music, voice acting ect

  • @Sj1h Yeah you're right, late 2006 they started writing scripts, and making the storyboards but the voice actors did their job a bit later.

  • @ItsFlapJack

    what about inception?

  • @olninyo what about it... :P

  • @ItsFlapJack

just wondered whether you had seen inception and what you thought of it in comparison to toy story. they were my two favourite films this summer but for me inception has the edge...

  • @olninyo havent seen it ...but once but for toy story best animated film of the summer inception best action film of the summer...

  • @ItsFlapJack You got that right. If you also recall John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, and the late Joe Ranft all came up with A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, and Wall E all at the same lunch meeting in 1994. One year before Toy Story 1 came out. A Bug's Life came out four years later, Monsters Inc. came out seven years later, Finding Nemo came out nine years later, and Wall E came out fourteen years later. and look how great those movies turned out to be.

  • @bart11114 So amazing! How these animators and directors and actors keep everything secret while working on these movies and the patients and all the stages they go threw to complete a whole movie let alone a short film! I wonder if they Planed Toy Story 3 around the same time monsters inc came out?...

  • @ItsFlapJack Well Toy Story 3 was originally planned to be just from Disney, at the time when Disney and Pixar announced their split. At the time it was planned to be released in 2008. and originally the story was Buzz would get recalled to Taiwan and Woody would lead the other toys to rescue him as Buzz did for Woody in Toy Story 2. Then Disney bought Pixar and the movie was replanted to be a Pixar movie and was postponed to 2010 so they would have more time to revision it.

  • @ItsFlapJack 11 years?..... thye only spent about 4 on it :O... they didnt plan to do a toystory 3 right off the bat

  • @1ard ...when it comes to pixar they plan their stuff years even before they plan on realy doing the project look at "up"...Lotso was in it that means toy story was being planned.... Its amazing how it all works..plys lotso was in the first toy story but they changed his look later on...he was a pink bear on a shelf

  • @ItsFlapJack lol yeah but planing the story boards and stuff and thinking of ideahs is allitle diffrent then actually working on the models sceenes and animation :P

  • @1ard ..no that's all part of the process when making a movie...without the story boards, character designs, figure out ways how some stuff is going to work all is part of making a movie...without all that we would just be watching a blank screen.....

  • @ItsFlapJack yeah but they said they had been animateign for 4 years straight on this.. so iam pretty sure they didnt spend 6 years on the story board cuz they said the first year of tht 4 years was for the script writeing

  • @1ard ....Toy story was in products for 11 years they might of not worked on it for 11 years but thats how long it took to get in theaters and dvd

  • @ItsFlapJack i thought its he best movie of all time?

  • @ItsFlapJack what took it so long? :D

  • @Pharmit24 Movies spend A LOT of time on the Pre-production they go threw process in which they show the idea of the whole movie to what ever company they work for they may or not like it sometimes they trash it but Pixar keeps there movie ideas and find a way to release there movies. they insert some inside jokes Like for instants Toy Story 1 had Wall-E inserted in a garage when Andy & His family are moving they pass threw houses and you can see Wall-E. A decade later we have the Movie Wall-E.

  • @ItsFlapJack damn they are really talented. wish i could work for Pixar. :D

  • oh man, that all looks so complicated!

  • what is the software i know maya, but, the other which is??

    thanks.

  • So It's done on Macs now? Didnt it used to be linux or did they upgrade?

  • best job ever

  • Nice!

  • wow not a lot of people responded to this
