Just came up with this..This girl's silly, I'm caught up in her foolery pretty, I don't know what she do to me busy - riding round the city usually she calling up my phone, wondering when I'm comming home next - we undress the stress got her stomach fluttering plus she don't mind me muttering numbers to myself while we cuddling I'm bout that - I make paper planes got that kinda contact, but I don't need to state the names she makes her ass bounce back while I make it rain.
i wanted to find a word to describe how i felt listening to this, the word that came up was "emissive", i didn't know what it meant, i looked it up though.
"Having the power or tendency to emit matter or energy; emitting"
close enough. just wanted to share. this is a sick beat.
@ir0nmaiden1 words that come to mind are transformational, spiritual, mesmerizing, and strangely enough, nostalgic. I feel like I remember times of absolute purity and innocence. Hopes and dream unfettered by the disappointment of the world. In other words all thats good with the world.
J Dilla is a gifted man, he is humble, he is just awesome. I Love his beats a lot. all of them is raw. J Dilla will always be the best Producer I've ever known because he's the best producer on the Mic, and the most hardworkin producer ever. R.I.P:) I wanna know what sample he used on this raw beat)
Let me take it off slow, She feels corrupted, heart aches but we're both alone, back to club, Dance till we break out of the shadow vibe, her vibe is nice we go to bar, Ice, bottles of that don mixed in wit that vik and sick, can beleive I'm init to win it, hopeful i feel sureal and she said it, I bet it, could, should wait for time but no watch, silence, memorys of a good day, but a fonder one of dilla makes me feel a peace to say, R.I.P eternally you'll stay
This was never meant for a set verse to be over it. Instead this is better having it instrumental.."free". We can attach our own verses of issues on it and think it as beautiful. RIP Dilla, only one day the world will recognize what you did.
ive heard this one before, its off three beats tape a think..track number five..my personal favourite...dilla was up there in the greatest wit bigge n pac!
ur a hater j dilla was a beat making king....u can't do it....that ish was sick,so sick, got people like u hating on it.....that a ill way to start off on that track

J Dilla Beats, I mean all of his beats is sick. This Beats sounds so relaxing and The Tune is so Happy like it's a good day. this beat will never get old. Even 20 years later, somebody still might be playing this beat. Man... I Miss J Dilla so much
Ain't enough Stars on YT to salute J Dillz talents. You can't tell me God didnt' take him home. His music talents were Phenominally Odd. Like something you've never heard before.
Its just some samples are not meant to be revealed, people forget its an Artform of musicianship, self expression of the soul through music, everybody's not gonna reveal there secrets, atleast i know im not, too much criticizin' why can't people just take the music in for what it is?? still keepin' HipHop Alive for mad years to come...-peace-
yeah i hear you i appreciate dilla and all other hip hopians who put out amazing stuff sample or not..i see ppl put negatives on my comments which is pretty pathetic b.c im a hip hop head myself who appreciate this good stuff and i get bombarded with negativity, i feel like those ppl are sell-outs..like its as hip hop heads were the underdog of society... if ur a REAL hip hop head help other hip hop heads expand there horizon nd grow on this hip hop dnt belittle them cuz u have diff opinions smh
this beat is obviously sampled, j dilla does not know how to play harp or classical music for that matter. Whoever thinks this beat was made from scratch is a retard (treezon) all of dillas shit is sampled he didnt play that shit on a keyboard omg retards.
you sure? its called Mythsysizer bcuz it sounds like a mythical synthesizer. thats my theory. dilla definitely used keyboards to compose some beats, might not have played it out on keys but he couldve sequenced notes with computers. who really knows. the snippet beat at the end sounds like a Moog or Korg or w.e made that Commodore 64 sounding shit. bottom line: not all his beats are sampled
dilla was a musical polymath b. at the young age he learned how to play the trumpet, the double bass, and eventually picked up the guitar, keyboard, drums, et cetera. the fuck are you talking about? dilla has made beats from sctach.
It's ignorant "underground" skate fags like you that really underestimate artists like Madlib and Dilla. Dilla played instruments to make some of his beats you wouldn't even imagine.
I'm not underestimating Dilla at all. Maybe I should have worded the question different. I was just simply curious if there was a sample in there or not, I never said he only sampled music. @paco0153 Where ur info from, i know dilla played drums of some pharcyde shit, bass on some badu shit, synth on some common shit but its vastly sample based for the most part....
Jay Dee used the sp1200 and MP then later on got into the drums etc... i know ...because Proof introduced me to J in 1994 back when he was charging 75 dollars a track plus studio times. That Pharcyde track actually was form 1998 that...and Bullshit were from Slum Villages demo tape.
Proof introduced me to Jay Dee when i was on my break from college in like 94 that's back when Maurice Malone had a lil hip hop set. Jay was chargin like 75 for a track plus studio time. i POUNCED on that sht everybdoy was huffing and puffin about the price. i paid up like fuck that. .
hen when he shopped Slum Vills demo beatgs from 89 to Pharcyde. (Drop, Bullshit, Can't Keep Runnin Away). He took off . Proof had a beat made by JAy Dee called Let Me Pissman i had that tape and i got my Mustang impounded and chose not to get it back then later it clicked FCK I HAD THAT DEE BEAT TAPE IN THERE
no offense mate but i think you're wrong. It's well known that dilla much like madlib and producers in his peer group did not use much/if any software in their work as the MPC3000 was his hardware sequencer of choice. Also most of his old stuff he recorded straight to tape...
And the piano part is deffienetely a sample, if you listen closely you can hear the crackling of the vinyl, in contrast to the drums and bass which sound cleably recorded or synthesized.
ok why did i get a -4 on my comment ? hahah mann losers on here i tell ya smh tsssskkk wow cuz i said this beat doesnt seem to be sampled sound like dilla did it from scratch. my opinion is my opinion. it just b idiots on youtube thats all
dilla is fire / they didn't believe me - some called me a liar / dilla's music sparks desires / to sire a youngling / or to smile when i'm cummin / to others it inspires / brings em back from the edge when they walkin high wires / some are destined to get rolled on like tires / others conspire - to do evil / dilla made music for the people / so feel it / don't steal it / just reveal it / to others / and remember to wear rubbers / cuz vixens like to smother
Those kicks swing in a way only Dilla could pull off. I don't care if this was just some beat tape outline, anyone with musical knowledge or an ear for good music can sense the genius here
the dude really just makes magic

dilla is fire / they didn't believe me - some called me a liar / dilla's music sparks desires / to sire a youngling / or to smile when i'm cummin / to others it inspires / brings em back from the edge when they walkin high wires / some are destined to get rolled on like tires / others conspire - to do evil / dilla made music for the people / so feel it / don't steal it / just reveal it / to others / and remember to wear rubbers / cuz vixens like to smother

Those kicks swing in a way only Dilla could pull off. I don't care if this was just some beat tape outline, anyone with musical knowledge or an ear for good music can sense the genius here
