roos08824-depends on what state you live in. In some states, I believe MN is one, a hygienist can be independent and refer out for all other procedures. Im sure its very expensive to have your own practive, with insurance and all, not to mention all other expenses. I would think you would need a good clientele base and have to know a few dentists who dont have hygienists who would refer out to you.
