The stock motor just does not hack it on the track. Brushless and lypo seems to be the way to go.

i bought a sc10 put brushless in it and in a weak it blew tranny the suck and did the same with a blitz never had a promlem one go blitz sc10 blows

Really good handling for a 2wd, and li-po cut off is a nice deal, Im considering getting one, or a losi strike, the slash and blitz are like a rustler or e-firestorm reworked, just IMO no offences

@logitechz3 If you're planning on racing at all don't get the Strike. It's against the the ROAR rules and doesn't handle well at all.

The Blitz is actually a completely new design by HPI.

I chose the sc10 over the Blitz because of the lipo cut off and I didn't have the cash to replace a steering servo out of the box.

@eyeAMtwinkEE Yeah, some people says SC10 is intended just to race so you can break it faster if you do bash, I would choose blitz over the slash because I know how bad are its shocks. I think you can replace the stock servo with a cheap Hitec servo with metal gears, and wont break anymore

@logitechz3 I chose the SC10 for a few reasons:

1) Large parts support. Many of Team Associated's other trucks share parts, which makes it much easier to find them.

2) It's fast. Simply put, with the right set up it is very well capable of beating most f the trucks out there on the track.

@logitechz3 I just bought the sc10 and the blitz and I think the blitz is way under rated. The sc10 almost feels cheap while driving compared to the blitz. I need to set up the sc10 but it does steer quicker thats for sure! Blitz just feels so planted and solid.

@warranqe yeah the sc10 is growing on me big time I just got caliber tires and cant wait to try them. What weight shock oil do you recommend to tame the front end roll?

@warranqe did you have problems with the stock motor? If I dont clean the brushes and commutator every 5 minutes it runs like the battery is dying. It started doing this 2 1/2 packs after new. Lack of break-in maybe?

@notsoeezee i just ran the hell out of my stock motor(40 packs later) its fine. brushless arriving tomorrow so i am going to try kill it.

but i have good speed and about 10-17mins runtime on my track outside
