  • Jeez this song is hard to sing!

As a person who has tried to sing this ridiculous rhythm, I am impressed

  • The judge didn't shout "Amor", he whispered it. Apart from that slip, I like this performance. It's a song that really demands theatrical performance, and that's what it gets. The self-satisfied and somewhat spoilt little miss image comes over nicely.

  • Very good Melissa, you are very talented, but it could be toned down a little---less is more. Also, who is your pianist? I've played this and it is very difficult, and is a total duo where the pianist is vital to the success of the performance. Please do him/ her the courtesy of being named. CabAret by the way, not CabEret.

  • i really liked it, maybe as your watching it on a video yes the gestures might look like a much but a live proformace i bet it looked great :)

  • Wow. I though I'd seen campy performances and hammy acting, but this took the cake. No, it's not lieder, but the problem with too many gestures, eye movements, etc, are that soon none of them have any meaning. I know it says this is a high school performance. Hopefully she will mature as an artist.

  • What a fantastic performance! Love the delivery. And while I'm not surprised it went over amazingly with the live audience... this online review crowd includes people whose opinions I can't relate to at all. Glad you had so much fun with this song, it shows in the best way.

  • Missy you sound great......wow!

  • Maybe you squirmed in discomfort, but the audience loved it. It's a CABERET song, not An die musik!

  • She has a nice enough voice, although the lower notes get lost, but her presentation! Yikes! In this case, much less is more. Making the audience squirm in discomfort and embarrassment is a good thing to avoid.

  • Great set of lungs, there Mel...

  • I would not pay to see this person sing. It's like a bad high-school musical performance. Plus this song's tessitura seems to be somewhat problematic for this singer.

  • too much gesturing is distracting. The voice is lovely, but there is too much going on especially with the cleavage. As my teacher tells me when I perform this, "more muse and less flooze." The interpretation is interesting, but I don't know I would have gotten blase and mad that people were so attracted to me.
