I was 16 when this show took place. the only clue we had that Elvis was dead before Paul Stanley did the dedication was some bone head driving by as we all stood in line yelling Elvis Presley is dead horay! We did not think anything about it until the end of the show then we knew it was true.
mom would not let me go to concerts until 1982 judas priest screaming tour. not a bad 1st show id say. 1st kiss show easter 1983 motley opening 4 kiss SF civic center.
This was my first ROCK concert! I didn't even know that Elvis had died. Cheap Trick was a great opening act but a lot of fans were flipping them off and shouting for KISS! I had a great time and will never forget it.
There is a band around here where I live called Kings Kiss. They dress up like Kiss and Elvis and do songs from both genres. Their website is kings kiss . com check em out. It's not quite the same, but the same idea.
I saw this show for my 17th birthday. I didn't know that Elvis had died. At the time I was wondering why they dedicated this song to Elvis. What a great show!
my 4th birthday was on this day. im sure i was into kiss at this time. dont remember hearing about elvis dying but im sure my parents were talking about it that day.
so tired of that song,, how many times are they going to play that song..
