Thank you SOOOO much for posting this. My dad used to sing it to us. However, he passed away when my youngest sis was 13 and she doesn't remember it. I am grinning from ear-to-ear! XOXO
@kevw411 If you mean is this Tommy Hunter singing the answer is no, It is W.D. singing. I sing all the songs on my channel. Thanks for stopping by. wd
I never saw him but I have always been a big fan of his. I even own the shirt you see him wearing in this video where he's standing between Kitty Wells and Tanya Tucker. This picture was taken when he was making the cd " Hank and Friends" for curb records. He wore this shirt when he recorded "The Wild Side Of Life" with the ladies for that cd. Thanks for watching and commenting. wd
As far as I Know Hank Thompson did. I have never heard it by anyone else. His recording on capitol records debut on8/18/58 and was charted for 22 weeks peaking at #2. Thanks for watching. wd

I met HT when I was a kid of 10 back in 68.
He was great! called me his "lil fan"
I must be one of his youngest fans
HT is one of the best of his times
I say one of the best of The Greatest

I've always loved this song. I think it was Hank Thompson Jr. who sang it first.

Hank Thompson is the only one I've ever heard do this song. Thanks for watching. wd

You are confused with HT and Hank Williams. This is a pure Hank Thompson Song not Hank WILLIAMS song.
This is based on AF men stationed in Alaska during WWII - Those guys didn't have a
bad detail
