actually landed in salt lake city many times. i love salt lake city utah, but one event had me so PO'd. had to transfer from salt lake to catch a fligh to atlanta georgia, but missed the afternoon flight. so we were on standby for the 11:30 pm flight, which was booked, so we had to get a hotel at the econolodge! crap! but for the radio buffs out there, if it wasn't for that, i wouldn't have got the chance to catch some great jam jingles on KODJ!
i'm with rebma2009 take delta they are a very good airline instead of united they lost my families luggage twice. then i had to go shopping with my mom to get the stuff back ,, it took about 6-7 hours it was awful
My advice to all.United Airline's is a JOKE they aren't very good they don't care about there customers they don't care about shit only them. TAKE DELTA TRUST ME!!!!
Aww. I used to live in Colorado, never been to Salt Lake City though. Pretty neat! I haven't been on a plane since I moved a yr ago. I miss being on one.

A 737 has a shorter wing span than it should have. And this pilot did not have full flap, these two combinations are common in a 737.Which creates small stall at flare hight. That makes it very hard to flare in this aircraft which is very dangerous. Also in a 737 the rudder fluid was commonly contaminated in which caused reverse rudder. That problem was unsafe during take-off and landing.
flap setting is determined on several factors: weight, runway length, speed required during approach, ect. flare speed usually 145 on 300 series and stall is more like 116 so i don't know where you came up with that. and the defective rudder valve issue was fixed a long time ago. u must be a a320 fan or something
They usually tell you to turn off your electronics while the plane is taking off and landing. I found that they don't really care if you are using a camera. The chances of it actually causing interference are very very low.
Quite Touchdown.

Flying into Salt Lake is nice. The mountains are great. Good facility too.

I woulnd't say 145, more like 135, but it all depends on the weight.
And Flap 30, which this looks like, it plenty of flap to land

That's so familiar! I used to work at that airport. Cool! Thanks for the memories!

Exactly. The thrust reversers are rarely deployed, and when they are, it is for a short period of time.

How does anyone actually do these things - Doesn't electronic equipment interfere with the plane?

yeah they only really want you to turn off cell phones and blackberrys etc.

Would have been nice if you turned your camera on a little earlier to see the scenery. Download so more flights if you get a chance.
