  • Apparently someone known as 'Iris Murdoch' was there, quibbling about their use of the term 'biggest truck in town'

  • @JesusIsCatholic

I hardly think this music is diabolical , you don't need to tell god to forgive someone god will forgive them either way just as god will probably forgive you for being so damn judgemental , and btw Jesus was a Jew.

  • Who has "the perfect imperfection"??

  • I was there..!!!

  • @JesusIsCatholic youre delusional

  • you n'er fail me.

  • you n'er fail me

  • I effing LOVE Little Feat. I am going to see them Jan 19, 2011 in Orlando. My second time. I've loved them since the 1970s with Lowell but only got to see them once since his passing at an NCO club on Sembach AB, Germany. I also LOVE Pinkpop. I was stationed just a few kilometers away from Landgraaf and used to every year.

  • Man! he's superstoned!

  • @apper2112

Mostly he was.....and sometimes ALL OF THE TIME....hahaha!!! ;-)

  • @JesusIsCatholic Jesus forgives! you should practice what you preach!!!!!!!! love and forgive

  • I saw the Feat maybe 2 weeks before this gig in Norfolk, VA at a Tidewater Tides Baseball Game opening for Bonnie Raitt. Robert Palmer was playing in DC around that time and came down to jam with the Feat and Bonnie's band. Just an incredible day. Tickets were $5 for the ball game AND the concert.

  • Amazing to think that I saw this band a few days later in Hamburg. I had seen Feat in 75, also in Hamburg, on a Warner brothers Promo tour. Feat opened the show, then Montrose (w/Hagar nad Ronnie M), Tower of Power., Bonarro, Grahm central station & the Doobie Borthers. All on the same Sunday. Feat stole the show, stole my heart, and blew my mind. Came back to Ct in time to see the Feat in New Haven 77 Awesome, somewhere in CT 78 and Springfield, MASS 78. Just amazing footage.

  • Amazing clear crisp picture, looks like it happened last weekend.

  • RIP Richie.

  • The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival started in 1970 as well, not sure why it isn't considered the oldest. 2010 was it's 40th anniversary.

  • teenage breakdown nervous !

  • I was there ! In the front.

  • Great to see this again.. I was there, had just finished high-school, life was a big & exciting promise!

  • You see they are in Amsterdam and most likely the crowd did roll right through the night!

  • @GeneralFrenzy - we did ;-)

(even though we had to move our butts out of Amsterdam to witness this)

  • ahahahahahahaha anybody notice Lowell flinch at like 1:05 after he threw the shaker thing (morroca?). i think he hit someone with it hahahaha.

  • @fishordie2 .....sod that!!! at 2:18 does anyone notice Richie snort a a line off the guitar amp????

  • @teetomthomas... hahaha i didn't catch that the first time man that's awesome! that made my day!

  • @teetomthomas Too quick, he is turning the volume down on the Fender amp to prevent feedback..if you look his head goes in front of the amp, his nose does'nt sniff the top..lol

  • @fishordie2 yeah i noticed it was piss funny

  • Oh where are you now?!

  • very well put .......and so true.

  • They're freaky deaky Dutch!

  • whats w/that crowd!!!??!

  • I love to see this entire recording.

  • I know it's day light, but roll right through the night.

  • lamerie...

When was the last time you saw a fat junkie?

George enjoyed life, and the music told the story.

  • one of rock's great tragedies is that Lowell ended up a big fat fucked up junkie.

  • everyone is a junkie,,,,,we all have our addictions....

  • "Thanks I'll Eat Here" so, so, so great........never did see them live:(

  • Gradney looks like the Leonidas character out of The 300 :-D

  • LOVE DEM BOYZ

  • wasn't Lowell George quite a bit heavier than this most of his career?

  • Seems flat & empty.

What is missing in this performance?

Too light on the bass maybe?

  • @HelpfulFriend well you dont get to hear lowells amazing slide guitar for one.

  • Awesome performance, thanks for sharing this.

  • The tightest, looses band you'll ever see

It's memories like this that make turning gray feel good.

  • Love the trick where they go off stage and keep singing while drawing a response for "more"

    pure 1976

  • Feats Don't Fail Me Now!

  • Must have seen them in 1976 @ pinkpop too bad I can't remember too much of the festival , it's 33 years ago mmhh looks like I'm an ol'fart by now

  • They are all high as a kite yet still tighter than todays sober bands lol.

  • I saw them support The Who in London. Great gig and not many Brits got to see Little Feat with Lol.

  • I saw them at Newcastle City Hall, I think in '76, maybe '75. I looked forward to seeing them live for years and they delivered.

  • yeah-Charlton...in the rain...that was a fucking show and a half...WOW

Did you see Townsend slide out onto stage> And Entwhistle's rum and coke on his mic stand? That was a great show.

  • Thats what it looks like to me Too... Why ya want to"sniff" your amp? LOL

  • at 2:17, as Richie exits his kit, he appears to snort a line off the amplifier.

  • I wish you'd pull this video and re-post it with the video and audio synched up.

  • Ditto.

  • yep lowell george and little feat was the band when I was growing on this earth ! Keep up the Fire Lowell ! doughboy

  • me too and the mothers of invention

  • Apostrophe Peace doughboy

  • Little feat...

  • Superb production quality for 1976. Hell, superb quality compared to today's works as well.

  • shame about the syncing.

  • saw Little Feat phase two (no Lowell) in the early 90's at Jazz Fest and danced my skinny butt off! whew! they seem to be keepin' the spirit alive even tho Lowell's gone and i love what they do.

  • saw them in an incredible performance/most fun show ever...in a rural bar in NJ...only to wake up and hear on the news of Lowell George's death... a giant shock and loss to music.... one of the greatest bands ever...and just so fun/down to earth...no pretentious bull...RIP Lowell.//you were a genius.we will hear you in heaven, I am sure!!

  • hey if you like little feat i have a great 75 minute pro shot dvd from germany from 1977 with lowell george that is available for trade/purchase...send me a message at aol with my username or send me your contact info via youtube messages and ill send you details and a full list of other great concerts available from 70/80's.neil young csny springsteen stones who kinks costello taylor floyd crowes zep ac/dc skynyrd eagles ronstadt seger petty hoople thin lizzy dylan humble pie hendrix more

  • They are the greatest playing a smaller venue. You can really get down and boogy near the stage, and man do they rock.

Why are there no clips of the Feat now, Shawn is absolutely golden - she really rocks. Anybody??

  • Great performance, sould have been an easy 5 stars if the audio was synced to the video, even just close.

  • SING IT YEAyeaHEAYAHEYEAH!

  • Wow, that the slimmest i've ever seen Lowell look! Such a shame this guy is not around anymore. I still recall the day he died and since then there's been irreplaceable . Thank you for this film!

  • Barrere fried? Rubbish. Although this performance occurred in the 1970s, it is now 2008 and guess who is going strong still and playing with Little Feat some 31 years after this appearance? Paul Barrere. Suffice it to say, MElanza, looks can be deceiving, and I believe you should have been worried about Lowell George not Paul Barrere.

Note: I've seen this band live three times. Twice in St. Louis in the 1970s and once in Colorado in 2007. It's hard to find a better band anywhere.

  • Spotty...you seem to be a little sensitive to a drug use reference. To dismiss Paul B. as not being lit-up in Holland - you have your head in the sand. Either that, or you are an actual twit. Also, what does Little Feat still going strong have to do with a comment about Barrere's drug use? Do you think he was sober and Lowell was the only one taking drugs back then? Most musicians made it out of their abuse period, some didn't. Clapton is a prime example. Go smoke some weed, Spotty and relax.

  • Will do, except I'm not about to ingest any illegal drugs. Be my guest there. Still, you're correct about the drug use and abuse that took place at those times.

Still, the people who survived their addictions, especially Clapton for example, are also doing extremely well and playing

well too. He and Steve Winwood are doing beautiful work together right now.

  • I think a member of Led Zeppelin was once quote as saying that Little Feat was one of the greatest bands of all time. I'd have to agree.

  • John Paul Jones used to play with Led Zeppellin and he plays the steel guitar among many different instruments. He's got his own career going now, and long has too.

I definitely remember reading the statement you made before, and it would not surprise me since I suspect that some English musicians would indeed have come to see Little Feat play.

  • this looks out of synch, incase no one mentioned it yet

  • still a great tune.!!!everyone havin fun.

  • Great song from a great album.

  • Pauly looks fried...

  • yeah he does, good thing they all got sobered up in the 80's or they would only be memories, however sweet!!!!!

  • Lovely to see this guy again...sadly missed.

  • I didn't know Lowell George sponsored viagra...oh, never mind

  • Well, here I am in my 50s and I still love this band - damn they were good, until poor Lowell died - still good, but just not the same. Ken Gradney, on bass, held that band together for a long time after.

  • This isn't Willin'. Though my mom loves this video.

  • ...how could he be so brilliant (surrounded by wonderful musicians) and still look as high as a kite in anything I've seen of him...?? even the Dutch must have been shocked...!!

  • Oh, thanks for clarifying that, I'd never have guessed...

  • Lowells lost control of his maracas (..missis..!!)

  • No. Lowell was ending their set, and purposely threw the maracas into the audience, as souveneirs. Last song, you know?

  • i love the humor that he injected into his lyrics and his music in general ...i listen to this when i'm driving ...gets you there in a hurry

  • i love LITTLE FEAT . LITTLE FEAT IS THE BEST BAND.

  • yep

  • I REAlly want to find a video of "Rocket in my Pocket".. anybody??

  • Pinkpop Festival or Pinkpop in short, is an annual rock festival held at Landgraaf, Netherlands. According to the Guinness Book of Records, it is the oldest annual festival in the world. It is held annually on the Pentecost weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name). In 1970, the first festival took place in Geleen.

  • Wow - man this is the real deal!!! I saw them in Hamburg germany june 18th 1976 - it was a the best sound i had heard ever!!! - how do you search this footage out? Hilversum TV is dutch but was this a german festival?

  • E~X~C~E~L~L~E~N~T

  • Have you got footage of the Outlaws as this was gig was filmed around the same time they appeared in Glasgow with The Who.
