You have the facts exactly wrong. When hunting was stopped in the late 90's cougar complaints and attacks on livestock and humans soared. Now that hunting has been used in NE Washington again, cougar complaints have dropped significantly. This year the legislature approved the option for more counties to opt into cougar hunting. I am sure you will see more counties sign on so that they can control the rising complaints from cougar predating on pets and livestock.

he was probably pro covering up the real facts about cougars in order not to scare the public..as a wildlife biologist he's obviously studying cougar dynamics in that area in order to make long term predictions about the population so the state can make decisons about conservation and/or pop.control
