I was working at Iron Ferric in Diggens Mo. cold winter day and heard a Tied Down Whistle and looked toward it and saw two B&N trains on the same track going toward each other fast & both crews were jumping off & into a junk strewn ditch telephone poles/ties & machinery. We ran North/Away from tracks and at the sound of the crash turned to look & saw wheel trucks & even a rail car go over us and land ahead of us 2 cars came across the road plowing dirt toward us. FEAR-Fear-------
i heard linkin park is changing their name to "lickin Pole" then they're going soft...and that little blonde singer is gonna "come out" finally...i just heard, thats all....crap my mommy's home-don't tell her i was on the cumputer
the boards i got stuck on was rotted and i got stuck on the rotted board. and i was going across the tracks dipshit. im not the only one this happened to but the other person this happened to had alot of people with them and 4 wheel drive
this railroad is a dangerous one. about a year ago my mustang got stuck on it about a football field away from where this happened. so now i dont have a mustang to say the least
The local crew from the train that they hit, did not line and lock the switch for main line movement. I hope that the switchman/brakeman lost his job and never works for a railroad ever again.
The crew plugged the train and hit the deck. The crew have been with the railroad for many many years and retired after the crash. THEY DID NOT DIE YOU IDIOT.
ive saw a crash like this exept 2 passenger trains crashed together it was terribal about 32 people lost their lives when i passed it about 14 cars where split in half the 2 engines where kind of on fire it taught me a lesson always do not inter fear with a lights
this happened 150 yards behind my house. heard rumbling and went outside to investigate. saw black smoke and heard the fire rescue sirens because they had been notified minutes prior to wreck that it was going to happen. the railroad monitors in ft worth were not able to get in touch with either train via cell phones because they were both in an area with no cell reception. thank god one was empty and the other hauling only rock.
apparently not! It's approximately five to seven miles to dorchester, where the one train was supposed to stop and wait for the other one to go by. might not have been enough time to warn them by the time they figured it out that it was going to happen! bad deal...
May 19th, 2004. This was a head-on collision on a non-signaled track. The southbound train missed a stop and was operating with no authority on the track. Crew on the northbound train were able to jump off just prior to impact. The engineer of the southbound was fatally injured. The conductor jumped, but was trapped in the fiery wreckage. He was burned severely but lived. 2 others were injured.
Someone needs to upgrade their 3 pixel camera.

SCOTLANDRAILROADER 3 years ago
The idiot comment was to just that, AN IDIOT that wants to make a joke of this serious situation. he knows who he is. it wasn't to you.
307OLDS 3 years ago
@307OLDS what does plugged the train mean? was it the crews fault?
tom201090 1 year ago
@tom201090 "Plugged it" means put it into emergency braking.
silicon212 1 year ago
@307OLDS That is incorrect. The engineer of the southbound train was killed and 4 crew members injured. Google is your friend.

i was there when that happend the people that stayed on the train lived but the people that jumped off i think like 12 people died.
sepkripper 3 years ago
Only 1 person died. There were 2 people on each train for a total of 4. All 4 jumped before the collision and 3 of them survived.

i used to work for a company that cleans these things up and these pics do no justice to the destruction a crain causes when it comes off the tracks
