I have had the C12 for 6 years and have worked it like a rented mule. Other than getting new batteries at 4 years, perfection. I bought the right angle and offset attachments also. That drill has paid for itself a hundred times for me. I own a lot of Festool products and use them professionally and have never had one service issue. The dust collection on their cutting tools is brilliant.
i'm a capenter and never seen a drill go thre so much and most of all how long the battery last threww the whol demo. i would like a drill like that for my job and personal use.
You are the best reviewer I have ever seen, I wish everyone followed your suit because that's exactly what we are looking for in a review- Not what it looks like, what it smells like, what uses you might have for it, does it FUCKING work and does it FUCKING last in a harsh building environment and you answer this without question without doubt- YES. Thank you, you are a LEGEND!!!
I'm laughing to tears here. You clearly know how to make Veal Scaloppini and fried chicken, too.
The Festool engineers must have been on pins 'n needles waiting to see if the drill was gonna survive "The JGM8675 Shake 'n Bake Test". Well, they earn stripes for new, out of the box survivability. Long term exposure? Well, as any military personnel will affirm, no equipment survives the desert sand.
Please do a video update after a few months of typical JGM8675 use.
I'd think that the brushless motor would be much more reliable in such tests- the motors found in other drills with brushes and commutators are much more susceptible to burning out/overheating/malfunction due to such particulate contamination
I love that when it starts beeping he puts it back in the water. I'd like to see a brushless router.

Festool rocks. I doubt any other drill can do all that and perform.

I'm sure most of the other top name drills would have similiar results after a quick dunk in dirt water etc.
