  • That hat at 1:42 is AWESOME!!! O.O DID YOU MAKE IT?? If you did, send me a link to instructions!! :D

  • I have Songbird's...very similar and only $100, while this ocarina is on eBay for $400?? Sorry, I'm not buying.

  • @BeggProductions the thing is, the spencer one sounds WAY better

  • Sorry, the Songbird replica is better. Spencer ocarinas aren't all that they're cracked up to be. Take it from someone who has every Spencer ocarina. ( I have a lot of money to spend lol)

  • I think the songbird's version is better, mainly because of the $300 im saving. :p

  • SOLD!!!

  • The OoT wasn't a 12 hole... but this is amazing i will buy it how much

  • @Mas0o0n $400

  • spencer made a new mini ocarina, and made it the exact replica from zelda

  • If you want the EXACT 7 hole Oot replica by songbirdocarinas just call 866-OCARINA it is 108 dollars plus shipping and handling

  • its weird that almost all replica's have 12 holes, when in the game the ocarina of time has 7

  • @mrfoozy47 Pause this video at the start and count the holes in Link's ocarina. 10 holes on front (including sub-holes) and it would have the two thumb-holes on back. That's a total of 12. A standard fully-chromatic ocarina.

  • @mrfoozy47 Pause this video at the start and count the holes in Link's ocarina. 10 holes on front (including sub-holes, both of which are on the same side in following with the Japanese style fingering) and it would have the two thumb-holes on back. That's a total of 12. A standard fully-chromatic ocarina.

  • @Masamuneblader yeah but in the game they are placed differently

  • @Masamuneblader You know that the ocarina at the start was just pasted on there?

  • @Masamuneblader Actually, the picture in the beginning is photoshopped so the Ocarina looks like the Ocarina he is playing. In the game, the Ocarina of Time does, in fact, have seven holes. Most replicas made today are made with 12 holes, which is inaccurate, but seem to be preferred among Ocarina users.

  • I just got mine. How big is yours?

  • does anyone know the exact type of ocarina he used in this amazing performance?

  • @bananas11267 A 12 hole Alto C zelda replica made by Spencer Register.

  • It's very nice, but I don't think it's worth close $500 to me, which is what his current auction is going for. I did, however, buy a replica from songbird for $108. In my opinion, it's a much closer replica than this one and the sound is perfect. I would have still loved to get my hands on this, but it's just not worth it.

  • i like the stl ocarina's they have a more fuller sound i suggest if you want to play it stl if you want to see it spencer

  • The person that makes these put one of these ocarinas on ebay a couple days ago, the bid started at 99 cents, and the last I looked at it, I believe it was up to around $300 ._. And the bidding wasn't even over yet D:

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone know where to find this exact model at a good price?

  • @BeGrunge yes amazon.com ;-) voila problem solved

  • what are you looking at?

  • @MrSirwidebottom

The ocarina is a real instrument, and there are other types than just video game replicas.

Look up professional ocarinists like Satoshi Osawa, or ocarina makers like Fabio Menaglio.

I have a feeling you'll be pleasantly surprised

  • @Ramicsrider i am refering to the fake pieces of shit that 90% of people seem to think are amazing not the real properly built ones that take years to master.

  • @MrSirwidebottom You are absolutely retarded. Ocarina's were made over 200 years ago by Indians and was adapted by many countries and cultures. I don't think they had video games 200 FUCKING YEARS AGO, IDIOT. There are hundreds of famous ocarina artists out there and many more types of ocarinas than these. Ocarina's were actually very early instruments. They are real, ceramic/clay instruments crafted by hand that can generate some pretty beautiful sounds. Google it and see if I'm wrong, dumbass.

  • @MrSirwidebottom

If you think it's only a toy, then try play a ocarina.

    It's a instrument with a beautiful sound.

  • @MrSirwidebottom Like everyone else is saying, and even though this comment was made 4 months ago, you're a stupid, childish, MORONIC idiot. Ocarina's fall into the Flute family of instruments. So before you go running your mouth like the inexperienced, wannabe musician that you are, it would serve you well to do a little research.

  • @MrSirwidebottom It is a real instrument you stupid douche! It's been around for thousands of years.

  • yea i gotta say songbirds is a little better

  • Nice ocarnica, and where do you bought the cap at 1:50???^^

  • if you look on ebay

spencer made a new zelda replica of the fairy ocarina

  • Song From OOT I wish i could play like you :L

  • Looks awesome!

Why doesn't anybody every play the shops theme on ocarina?

  • maybe the spencer because the middle notes sound very clear, but of course everybody knows the songbird and spencer ocarina are both better than the STL zelda replica

  • seems like a happy and cheerful reiew, unlike other reviewers. 5 stars.

  • looks like someone made it in pottery class.

  • @technoninja692692692

At least it loks acurate, and besides, all ocarinas are similiar to of that

  • Frackin shweeet.

  • dont pluck ur eye brows anymore dude they going to get bushy when ur older lol

  • Seeing how spencer's is only auctioning them off and how they don't have them in stock >=(

Songbird Ocarina's has a very detailed replica google it =)

  • the music made me want to play the game :( i hate you...... ahaha im just kidding but now i really do wanna play

  • Awesome!I have two Ocarinas of time one from songbird and one from stl (special edition) an they're very cool too!!

  • i have the songbird zelda replica i'm enjoying it but i kinda want the spencer too the spencer looks cool

  • O.M.G. that is the one I wanted!

  • songbirdocarina

    Google it. :D

  • @KanadiaVon STLocarina

    Google it. :D

  • @thatparkourdude

What means STL? o.o I was on the STLocarina website, but I didn't even know what it's meaning xD

  • awesome:D

  • Do you think there's any way I could get a hold of one of those today? It'd be awesome, I've been wanting one for years, but never found a place to buy a good one and a song book I could read.

  • Dude, that ocarina in the beginning looks bigger than Link XD.

    Kidding...but nice review video =p

Really wish I had one of my own =(

  • That is definitely one nice ocarina! Sounds great too!

  • the songbird one and stl one are both like it and way cheaper

  • I don't know about the one from songbird but I can definitely say the one from STL is pretty bad.

I and a lot of other ocarinists agree that the STL zelda replica is a pretty bad ocarina and has even been refered to as "The Worst Zelda replica out there" by some of the most renown players/collectors/makers out there. I won't name names but I speak truth and from personal experience as I own it!

  • im buyin one of those ive been saving up for one endin up uying a wii card and bought majora's mask but im gonna get one by the end of the year i soppose

  • I'm afraid that they're rarely made, and put on eBay. I've heard they go for around $400 (US) when they're for sale, though.

  • Very informative, detailed review. Only thing is, you left out how much these things can go for...

  • If it weren't from ocarina of time, i would never have found any instrument that is the easiest to play ever, thank you Shigeru Miyamoto

  • Ok, i want to buy a zelda replica ocarina but im not sure which one is better, the songbird one or the spencer one. Can some1 tell me the pros and cons of each one?

  • I personally think the Spencer's better, but there aren't any for sale right now, and there may not be for a long time. If you're okay with holding out for maybe up to a year or more, and like the Spencer, I'd go for it, though the price can get very high indeed on them. I defiantly wouldn't suggest it as a first ocarina.

  • i like songbird's better... sorrys

  • I do too. Smaller and better sound.

  • @xChrisBoulterx Highly agreed. And these ones aren't even actual replica's. The REAL OoT only has 7 holes.. this one has 12.

  • @xChrisBoulterx I agree, Songbirds are much better sounding Ocarinas, but Spencers in more accurate in color and size. Link's Ocarina in OoT was actually quite big, making this Ocarina much closer a replica than Songbirds.

  • @destinynishimura No. I think Songbird's is more accurate. Spencer's is good too, but in my opinion songbird's OoT replica is better.

  • apparently you haven't played one then.

Songbird's can't hit the top three notes to save it's life.

  • nahh i got one, matter of opinion

  • I'm really curious, are you talking from experience? And do you mean the older songbird or the new one? I know that songbird made a newer Zelda replica somewhat recently and I've heard it's much better than the first one they made.

  • experience, and the old songbird in A.

From what I've heard the updated songbird is fantastic. My uncle bought a spencer and it sounds fantastic

  • Ah yeah that's about the same as what I hear. I also heard if you have the old songbird zelda replica, if you send it back to songbird he'll send you the updated one, you just gotta message him!

I'd love to try a spencer just to see how good it is.

I have an stl Zelda replica and it's alright but the higher notes sound bad and the subholes aren't correctly tuned.

it's actually cracked a little inside too, right where they stamp their logo (got it like that).

I only know the stl and my own!

  • yea that STL one is pretty bad. I got one and the mini off ebay for like ten bucks.... I disliked them so much (high notes and the mini just didn't agree with me musically) that I donated them to the drawing the anime club at my school was hosting.

Really? songbird will replace it with an updated one? I exchanged my first A for another A because of a pretty big flaw, but I didn't know his offer extended that far! I think I have enough C's though, it's my only A... I'll have to think about it.

  • That makes me angry :p

That's the same set I bought except I got mine from STL and cost me around 130 bucks or so and they're not really so great : /

I think the mini has better sound quality than the norm and it's so much cheaper :p

All I know is that I'm very displeased with STL and that bad experience with them will likely sway me to buy from someone else other than them again. I don't like badmouthing a company or it's product but I feel for the price I paid what I got isn't up to par!

  • @GuitarOcarina An who give a damn!

  • @GuitarOcarina Why?

  • @GuitarOcarina but yet the gold band is the wrong shape on the songbird,

and secondly the holes are in the wrong place on the songbird

  • i want to collect and play that masterpiece

  • good luck, they aren't made anymore

  • hey walterp41, it's not the songbird oot ocarina it's a spencer ocarina difference is that the spencer is bigger and the color blue on the spencer is darker

  • Comment removed

  • Uh, no. As the description clearly says, this is one of "Spencer's Ocarinas", NOT a Songbird ocarina. Many different groups make ocarinas that look like this (as they are all Zelda OoT replicas).

  • This is a different ocarina. This has the Spencer logo on it.

  • how much was it?

and where did you get it?

  • How much did you end up paying for your ocarina? What was the starting price on the auction?

  • She ended up paying 450

  • Actually, xhaylowx, two songbooks and a tutorial are included with the ocarina, as mentioned in this review. Very nice video, Myung!

  • im thinking about get one but is there any difference between the song bird ocarina and the spencer ocarina

if theres a difference can you tell me which is better

  • they're both great brands, but spencer doesn't supply the songbook with it, like songbird ocarina's do.

  • I trust songbirds better there very high quality and durable

  • is it tuned in AC?

  • LOVE YOUR HAT :3

  • i just bought one today!! =)

  • Make a video to see it!

    Lucky!

  • i havn't gotten it yet...gotta wait 2 LONG weeks lol....but once i do i'll post some :)

  • wait you bought a SPNCER'S Ocarina? I have been checking for over a year now to see if spncer has put any up Ocarinas and I havent seen anything....

  • no its not i bought one from songbird ocarinas but its pretty similar to that one

  • oh ok

  • I have to get one.

  • I am SOOOOO gonna buy one of Spencer's Zelda Replica ocarinas!!;D

It just looks so fantastic and sounds even ´better than that.

By the way: His website is up now!

  • I love Spencer's ocarina's, but appears as if Songbird has copied them completely, unless they've merged together.

  • You should show your face more often.

  • I'm not allowed to net-buy....

  • whats the best ocarina to start out with?

  • you know wats sad it doesn't look accurate

  • well the ocarina shape and color are the same but the ocarina on zelda looks to be a 9 hole, because there are 7 holes on front and you would think that there is two holes on the back.

  • I have the STL Zelda replica. What differences are there in sound quality?

  • Alot!!! It's like comparing a ford to a mustang

  • you gotta further elaborate.... a ford is a mustang...

  • ford escort to a mustang then.

  • cool!

  • omg nice hat

  • the replicas should be pointing the other way and have 8 holes

but they made so it can be compact and

    fit in all fingers

  • lol i just realized link would use a left handed ocarina

  • what material is it made out of? and is it durable? it would suck if it fell and shattered. =P

  • Probably clay....

  • It's made of porcelain.

  • clay

  • OMG you know how hard it is to find one? he hasnt sold one on ebay for awhile now. this is the best replica you can get, the closest thing to this is the songbird or the dunster

  • I am looking to buy an ocarina as an instrument more than a replica from the Zelda games. Which is a better musical instrument, Spencer's ocarinas or Songbird ocarinas?!? I don't want to purchase both :-/

  • Well Spencer Register I believe makes and sells them 1 at a time on EBAY which go up to very expensive. Songbird ocarinas make them for much cheaper but they are not as amazing ahha.

  • i suggest buying a spencer ocarina... just saying if u still need help :D

  • i want one of those! and the chocolate smells sounds great!

  • how did you get this?

  • u look bored when ur showin it off lol

  • Exactly

  • Good video.

  • how much did it cost u? 300?

  • I like how you did a few different Zelda songs

  • lucky.....

  • nothing better than a hot gurl playing the ocarina of time... i think i just made a mess in my pants... thanks haha but anyway, thats phat as fuck for realz!

  • In my Opinion THAT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE Ocarina Of Time

    Thx Reply me

  • How did it not look like the Ocarina of Time?

  • The Holes

  • Its, not practical to play an ocarina with the diamond shap patern *-_-

  • i am so glad the ocarina mold i just made looks like a spencer ocarina

  • If spencer buys them off of songbird and "repaints them" why are his clear and songbirds OoT replicas flat A? Also, why are songbird OoT replica's smaller too? Why don't you compare them both fully before making stupid assumptions and making yourselves look like complete fucking morons.

  • haha! The shop music fits this so perfectly. :P

  • Please don't spread lies. You can go to Songbird ocarinas and buy a 12 hole OoT, yes. I have one myself. But this review is of a Spencer ocarina made and sold by Spencer Register. And NO, Spencer does not buy them from Darryn Songbird. He makes them himself.

  • I have the 6-hole, Extended Range Sweet Potato fairy ocarina. Is this really that much different or better? I still haven't really mastered the 6-hole to perfection. It seems like you can play the same songs on both, of course, but this obviously can play more notes. I suppose I should first master the ER Fairy Ocarina before getting into 12-hole ocarinas. What do you think?

  • 4 days ago a Spenceroca was available, but he cancelled the offer! :(

  • I wonder why he cancelled it =(

  • That's funny, since I have both a Songbird and a Spencer OoT. The difference is very distinct in both look and sound. I don't know where you get the idea that Spencer is buying them from Songbird to sell them for a higher price. It's just not true, if you really think it is; PROVE IT =P

  • that right man, he bought them changed the shape, moved a hole and engraved his name into them

  • lol XD

  • that thing is awesome. sweet tunes man O of T had the best music of all the zelda's in my opinion

  • I agree^^ Amazing soundtrack =D

  • I don't remember sweet potato is Tenor right? And also the triforce isnt on the Ocarina XP.

  • Sweet potato refers to the shape of the ocarina. Tenor to the range. But most ocarina makers call it an Alto C. The triforce was on the OoT in the artwork. I think the graphics weren't able to produce such details at the time.

  • What Spencer's? the shop that sells crazy stuffs??? or the Music Shop? i want ONE!! PLZ SEND ME LINK!!! PLIZZZZZZZZ :(

  • It's someone from ebay. He's currently not selling any.

  • eBay seller spencersocarinas =)

  • 22-2 meeeeeeeck

    221

    Suerte ^^;

  • no si , ya lo vi XD pero igual las encuentro un poquiiittoooo caras para solo ser una replica

  • SI entiendes perfectamente ingles, por qué preguntaste en español?

  • Yeah exactly, why spanish. I don't understand it mucho lol. ingles por favor XD

  • No la compra la ocarina no se mira como de Link.

  • ????????

  • I've wanted one of these for so long! Only once did I catch an auction while bidding was still taking place, and (foolishly) I didn't make a move. Like KeysontheCeiling, I'm hoping to see the website go up soon. Six months is along time... Great review though - very thorough. Makes me so jealous!

  • Thanks! I hope Spencer will be putting more up for auction soon.

  • Okay. This video was posted April 13, 2008

"Within a month..." Be patient, wait a little while longer.

Its been 6 months and no word :(

I've been faithfully watching for over a year now... :'(

  • Yeah =( I guess Spencer has been really busy with other stuff...

  • cool
