its quite simple, you are far less likely to find a particular movie if it has only a few thousand hits... you could have hundreds of the same copies floating around with just a few hits, and you will not see them on top lists anywhere... but if you focus on the main movie, at least until it seems to plateau, then that will be more effective. Acutally, yesterday I actually used I macros to reload the primary movies hundreds of times over to artificially raise the stats, and increase coverage

For example, in the first week this movie made over 40,000 hits... the faster the movie is gathering more hits, the more rewards, the more people will see it in top lists, so on and so fourth. If the movie is rapidly gathering hits, and other people put movies up in place of it, the main movie losses momentum, thus lowering the chances of it making it into the top lists. On the other hand, once the movie has plateaud, and if you used say different creative names, that would end up helping

@ravenise - With all due respect, I have videos that I have made and I am happy for people to share, upload to their own channels, it is good the whole way around. But what is really strange is that you have this film uploaded on your channel (publicly), and yet you suggest I make it private. Sound quality and aspect ratio aside, it is helping the cause that is most important. Your contention that less people will see it because I have uploaded it is just silly.

See, if the official copy loses hits, then fewer people will see it... so it actually lessens the amount of people who will see it in the long run. I tell you, this movie sure made me smile:) isn't it just a gem?! Haha, thanks for sharing.

Its a great movie, although this one has shitty sound quality and the aspect ratio is stretched. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but it is taking up hits from their official page, and the more hits people get on here, the more they take from theres. Being by far the most important cartoon ever made, I humbly suggest you take it down, or keep it up as private until say if the official copy gets taken down again. It is nothing personal, just something that has been requested of me before too

You are incorrect. What happens is that if the main video gets say, 100,000 hits... then that video will be much more likely to come up during random searches and on the top hits pages all over youtube. This is far more effective than having hundreds of low quality copies racking up a hundred here, a hundred there. The more hits that the primary movie gets, the higher the ratings, the higher the rewards, the more coverage. It is also about timing...

The authors of the video said that it was perfectly fine for others to upload it, and have encouraged people to spread it. You can go to their main page on youtube and see that they're encouraging users to spread it and upload it if they want. The important thing here is that the message is spread to a wider audience. So don't make an issue out of this, we're all in this together and the last thing we want is start attacking each other.

Thank you for pointing that out to me, I wasn't aware of the fact they are encouraging people to do so. This, as I think about it, may actually be beneficial because if the Rothschild's decide to take down the primary videos, there will still be plenty of extras around continuing to gather hits. I am not here to make an issue or attack anyone, was simply stating the facts, however because the authors encourage it, then who am I to tell anybody otherwise? Again, thank you.
