  • Thank you George.

  • love this song, especially the chorus. thts the peak of the song

  • I CALL THIS THE TABLE TAPPERS CONCERT1 It was actually the 'Natural law party' concert.

  • Still my favorite song after all these years. Thanks for sharing!

  • gotta love ray cooper in the back

  • That looks like Brian May behind George... ?

  • I think it is important to remember how many tracks were layered on the original. Listen carefully to the original and alternate studio versions to see what I mean. This is not a bad live rendition at all. The vocals are good, and all of the essence of the song itself remain unchanged. Thanks for posting.

  • @jsquaredrev Excellent points. One of my favorite tunes, and reminds me of how connected George was to the really important things in life.

    Best,

  • still a Beatle. :)

  • Actually, they had a spot of trouble recreating the feel and timing of Georges licks. All in all, a good job, but it just shows you how good George was. He created those licks like on old brown shoe, and they are very hard to replicate, BUT IMPOSSIBLE TO CREATE.. George i hope there's an afterlife.

  • This is gold. George Harrison was an absolute genius.

  • Man I wish they would release this and the Live in Japan concerts on DVD. the WHOLE concert.

  • RIP George Harrison, you were a musical and spiritual genius

  • This video is so great , Harrison looks great and the song of course is a total pleaser . When I watch the video near the end of the song the video has some effect and Harrison glows . The power of words ( what is my life without your love )

  • that look like TOM PETTY band he hung out with Harrison back then

  • I'm in heaven.....

  • Was this at his last gig?

  • THE BAND: * George Harrison - lead and slide guitar, acoustic guitar, lead vocals * Eric Clapton - lead guitar, vocals*, Andy Fairweather-Low - guitar, backing vocals * Nathan East - bass, backing vocals * Greg Phillinganes - keyboards, hammond organ, backing vocals * Chuck Leavell - piano, keyboards * Steve Ferrone - drums * Ray Cooper - percussion * Katie Kissoon - background vocals * Tessa Niles - background vocals

  • @QueenBeatlesWings Andy Fairweather is amazing he was the man who played all the memorable riffs as we all remember them on the original recordings, he was great at George's tribute concert..Andy and another guitarist (can't recall hia name) coped all George's & the beatles classic leads, riffs -note for note it was great.they made Eric's job alot easier, Eric did a great job w/ Concert for George..thanx Eric and co.

  • @MOSKII58 Great comment..Yeah! Marc Mann is another guitarist! The camerawork im my opinion could have been better in respect to Andy Fairweather Low and Marc Mann. These guys were lights out and the cameras didn`t catch them enough. Especially when Andy got to play Georges psychadelic Stratocaster and also when Marc Mann was playing slide and almost all the lead parts.

  • @gdosic i was amazed how acurately they copped all the leads and riffs and little nuances that we sometimes forget are even there.their tone was great also.Like you say, they don't get enough exposure and credit for what they do. You can tell it was a labor of love they really got into it."While my guitar gently weeps" sticks out in my head as one they did a fantastic rendition of..cheers..CM

  • @gdosic so which was i Marc Mann or Andy Fairweather playing in this video and live with George at that time period?

  • @QueenBeatlesWings Mike Campbell (of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers)

  • Great video! Thank you for sharing ........ everytime I hear this song I think of the movie Goodfellas! :-)

  • Great video! Thank you for sharing ........ everytime I hear this song I think of the movie Goodfellas! :-)

  • ahh nice ,was at this gig, happy days..anymore?...

  • I heard this so long ago, and kept thinking it was someone else, I always like this song above most others, and I'm a STONES and WHO fan rather then the Beatles

  • I just recently discorved the Beatles and all their members. I just love Harrison, what a great guy period.

  • @billsurf101 Welcome to the best music in the world, pal. Keep on searching and you will know why.

  • Greatness!

  • Many thanks for posting.

    This is historic footage!!

  • Its Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers band on guitar. Too bad George didn't come to America for a tour right after this one.

  • is it Brian May on rythm guitar?

  • @caporojo Kinda doubt it, Maybe Tom Petty's axeman Mike Campbell who had a afro IIRC at some point/s

  • Is it Tom Petty on Bass ? :P

  • Yes, In a documentary about the Traveling Wilburys somebody said that Tom actually prefers to play the bass if there's a decent rhythm and lead guitarist to back up.

  • I just love that man!

George you will live forever in our hearts

    =D

  • He hated live performances. He was the first Beatle To want quit touring in 65-66.

  • I love george but i must admit he isn't great live lol

  • well thats absurd, have you ever seen the concert for bangladesh...its possible that this recording sucks because its through a cheap video camera with a weak microphone

  • yes George :o)

  • AMAZING SONG!!!!!

  • It is wonderful! I love this song! TY so much for posting this!! MORE MORE MORE! :-)

  • People who attended this concert seem to remember proper TV Cameras. Lets hope it's true because I would love to see this on DVD one day!
