Decos are possible. Acetone is necessary only for certain paints, you don't need acetone for textile paints (if you're working textile shoes like chucks, and not use paints for leather shoes); there are textile paints which are water based, hence a cup of hot water to dip the brush in will clean the paint off the brush, too.

water and soap cant bust through embeded oil like acetone could... nail polish remover is acetone btw so u can jst go to a doller store

if you want clean work. or you could just go up in there with a dirty brush and hope for the best... clearly the first option is best
