Fator is a great ventriloquist, when Dunham does it it's more obvious that he's speaking rather than the puppet. But dunham's characters are hilarious, and I don't get bored watching him. Dunham ftw.

Terry, without a doubt. His voices actually differ quite a bit whereas Jeff's are just variations, even though Jeff is hilarious. And just the fact that this guy can sing and sing well this way is simply and utterly amazing.

Fator is better than Dunham for two reasons.

1. Many people (non-ventriloquists) can be funny like Dunham, far fewer people can sing like Terry.

2. Yes Dunham does comedy and Fator sings. However, Fator also adds a lot of comedy to his acts, but Dunham doesn't add music to his performances.

Amazing singing + good comedy is better and more talent than just great comedy.

in my opinion, the goatee effect helps in the "not seeing the mouth opening" effect. but certainly, Jeff Dunham and Terry Fator are just equal. Jeff is pure stand-up and that's why he wins "stand-up" awards. But you will never see Fator winning those kind of awards. Fator is more of a entertaining type guy, that's why he gets large contracts to "entertain" people at 5-star Hotels.

my problem is as an act its hit and miss as the main thing about ven(wrong spelling)ism is the amazingly quick back and fourth banter between puppet and puppeteer , take that out and its even MORE OVBIOUS that the puppeteer is the guy singing/talking and when that is gone you lose the illusion.

i love Jeff , i love his puppet "walter" "Peanut" etc, but Terry fator can do that too but not only using the voice he wants to use for his puppets but impersonates famous ppl, that's kinda difficult than just a ventriloquist.
