The lyrics for the song LACRYMOSA were written without giving it a title. Years later, the song received its name & finished when Kurt Cobain's friends the Melvin's recorded the song Lacrimosa released on the Stag album in 1996. Kurt Cobain worked the Def Leppard tour in 1983 when Joe Elliott discovered me at the age of 15. The lead singer uses my name (Amy Lee) as her stagename. This is why there are 2 Lithiums & EV covered Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box.

They should have done a music video for this. Maybe about a wife of a soldier who's fighting in WWII. She and him fought because he cheated on her. The video could be showing how he's off in war and that she's wondering if that's what he really wanted was to be away from her. The wife wishes she could be what he wanted her to be but she won't waste her time on him because she has better things to do.

you forgot to mention mozart as the artist along with amy lee, he did write the original and it was amy lee's favourite movement from his requiem so she remade it and changed the title from "lacrimosa" to "lacrymosa"

Esta canción es la hostia, no paro de escucharla, además no creo que hayan DESTROZADO el Lacrymosa de Mozart (es más no es la palabra más correcta) yo me considero un Fan de este grupo y de Amy Lee en concreto por su gran voz y su música, a mi me encanta el grupo, además coordina bien espero que no os lo toméis a mal los amantes de música clásica, a mi también me va ese tipo de música y creo que Lacrymosa de Mozart combinada con Evanescence ha sido y es una gran apuesta y acierto

Doesnt this song make you appreciate classical music but i like the twisted metal Evanescenes puts into this song so Famous last Words i have to give you alot of props in this video.The graphics/old style looks is very intresting and collides with the song...In a good way 5 stars for famous last words i enjoy most of your work anyways so i'll enjoy hearing you make more videos for this type of music...Bravo

I have a love hate relationship with stuff like this, on the one hand it introduces people who would not have listened to the original mozart to something different (assuming they don't like "classical" music) but on the other hand, sometimes when you hear this, it makes it hard to appreciate the original without the drums etc.

anyways I love Evanescence AND the Mozart Requiem so props to them!
