  • When it can cook me a pizza, then I'll be impressed.

  • Your life bores me! Did you at least spring for toppings on your commonplace pizza dinner or did you just go for the cheese? Take Lexi out for a classy 3 course meal at an upscale restaurant you douche-hole!! She obviously wants you!

  • can you get the android ui on any htc phone?

  • if u hack it, everything is possible...do u know how to do that ?? ihihihhhihih cuz i dont...lol

  • why the fuck would I need a map to know how to drive to my FRIEND Erin

  • everyone go to erin's house!

  • Everyone call Erin! lol.

  • Like it, but the UI doesnt seem as slick as the iPhone.

  • And I have to say, that shirt strongly emphasizes his douchebaginess. Don't get me wrong, I think google and their co-founders are great.

I wish they would make a full blow computer OS. Perhaps they could organize and consolidate the 10,000 linux distro.

  • They have made an operating system already. It's called GoS, which means Green OS, Good OS Great OS, or whatever you'd like to call it, except for Google OS...

  • please can somebody who knows explain something to me - howcome i have seen many videos on youtube of the Android OS, and there seem to be two COMPLETELY different operating systems!! please help!

  • This is a pre-release SDK build. Android has gone through several stages of UI reconstruction and is constantly tweaked and finalised against the company's HIG or human interface guidelines, so any pre-release "walkthroughs" (especially this, dated last year) will likely be using a significantly different build.

  • on which carrier will it be?

  • T-Mobile

  • Quit over emphasizing the features. The most important thing is the voice fidelity - can it accurately reproduce the human voice. The land line still sounds way better. All you tools can go out and waste your money, I'm sticking with my "old" 2004 phone and waiting until there are break throuhgs in voice quality.

  • Voice quality is about halfway on any modern techie's concerns in a prospective cellphone.

(The more geeky you are the less important it is because the less likely you are to have friends) So cheers to the gPhone :D

  • Yeah, good point about nobody actually talking.

But still, who gives a crap about all the features? I guess it's all the gullible, easily duped by marketing, psuedo-techy people who think they need this crap. Get a book at do something productive to increase this country's worth instead of being another dumbass consumer.

  • Looks and performs as the Iphone, It will have the advantage of many applications for freee and hopefully cheaper plans than AT&T's gouging.

Competition is good...I have the iPhone, 3G speed is a myth... Both my Edge network and 3 GiPhones run at the same speed and much the same as this Android.

  • Not impressed!

  • wow. phones really havent advanced since the huge cellies. still bickering about guis? lol.. please make a phone that improves 'calls' then develop the other 'fetures'

  • I think I've seen a lot of these things in some other device. Perhaps from another company Google is working with... hmmm... maybe Apple's iPhone? Even this walkthrough feels like an Apple walkthrough.

  • Yeah your right but google is a little to late apple is way ahead of them now with this new iphone coming out, I know I'm buying the iphone instead of this piece of junk.

  • Android is not a specific phone, its an OS for your phone. Like windows mobile or Mac OS X on the iphone. Google is planning to release phones with the option of this already installed on it or you can download an installer to do it for you. The great hing about it is that it is all open source, not just an app store, but the whole system can be developed or changed by you in the way you want it to look, feel, and perform. And this is completely different from the iphone...

  • Yeah i know now i found out a few weeks ago. But about the open source, I would still take the iphone over android.

  • same... but just saying... also i didn't realize that you wrote that 2 months ago

  • Why would you do that. Theres going to be a million applications for this thing rather than the amount that Apple will grace you with. The iphone has some nice features but expandability and applications their is simply no competition due to the nature of the software. To me the iphone is selling itself short with no development library to make any software a programmer could want. BTW I have a nokia 6230 that does me for now but I want this bad boy. If you like iphone, use it. Its your money

  • I don't think it's "why would you anymore" i thinks it why did you do that? haha! And I love it!

  • Jail. Break.

    I'd say they're about even.

  • I dont even know how i got here!!!!!!!!

  • oh dear. why can apple fanboys not see the disadvantaes of their little toy. Sure their are disadvantages to this system but their are also massive disadvantages in apples design compared to this device. If iphone works for you then fine, use it. You have to recognise some of the good points this system has over the iphone though. Be realistic

  • What type of phone is this? The black one

  • how much that cost?

  • Don't cost a thing, bub. That's the main selling point of it being "open source". That and the developer community can feel free to add stuff/make it over-endowed with extra features as much as they want, theoretically.

Talking about Android here, not phone hardware itself.
