@Quessir I know my baby sister August loved Def Leoppard. However, the line remains the same from Neil Young moons ago before anyone in Def Leoppard was even born. Who can understand the lyrics of Rock of Ages. It's got a nice beat, but come on, you can understand those boys, I never could. That's why I never heard the line in that song. Sorry Torn, I'll have to check that out. God bless
@Quessir Dude, I'm a grandmother of 7 grandchildren....I have more important things to do than to spell check o'l deffy's name...Thanks for the heads up ciao
@mammal46 What do I care what kind of person you are? Why even bring up who you are? I don't understand your reasoning. Also, people have been typing out the name of Def Leppard correctly in response to your posts so there was no need to look their name up. There's also no need to be impolite and imply that you have better things to do - what would you say if I kept spelling Neil Young's name as Neal Youngg?
And please, do not message me again. The one you sent was weirdly antagonistic.
@Torn0023 It is a line in a Def Leoppard song, I stand corrected, however, Neil Young coined that expression long before before the brats in Def Leoppard were even born. So I think that the credit should stay with Neil Young...
@mammal46 Nobody is disputing that the line belongs to Neil Young. But Highlander is an 80's film, a decade where Def Leppard reigned supreme. The line is more than likely a reference to the Leppard song, and not the Neil Young lyric. So, in this case, while acknowledging that it's Young's line, the credit SHOULD go to the boys from Def Leppard.
And not the "brats" of Def Leppard, no need to be disrespectful.
@Quessir Dude you seriously need to get a life. Your making way too much of this! Did some one steal your lunch money today? Did you wet your sheets last night? What the hell is up with you? If you want to be technical, but then again you probably can't, but def leopard needs to find there own words. I'm not the only one who said it's a Neil Young song the little brats only made a couple of hits then the drummer lost his limbs and they fadded away. Youre the only one who cares.
@mammal46 Wow lady, you're seeing things in my post that just aren't there. I don't know what's wrong with you, but you're obviously a fruitcake. You've already been added to my ignore list because of that weird message you sent to my inbox, and I won't reply to you here anymore because, to turn around your statement, I actually DO have better things to do than argue pointlessly with some weirdo.
Enjoy your voyage into senility, I'm sure it's a fascinating one.
@mammal46 ..... If @Quessir comments again just tell him ...."doesn't mean that much to me, to mean that much to you" .... see if he's bright enough to catch the reference lol
@SMAXZO Indeed, among many other things. I've actually always been reminded of Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget, though I don't think he ever actually had anything to do with him. I'd love to be wrong, though :D
I know that voice! Its Murray, The Demonic Talking Skull from Monkey Island!

Wasn't that line also in a Def leppard song?
Torn0023 1 year ago
@Torn0023 Not Def Leopard, his name was Neil Young.
mammal46 1 year ago
@mammal46 It's also in Def Leppard's song, Rock of Ages. That was their tribute to Neil Young. And Def Leppard is a band, not a man.

@mammal46 Just a heads up, dude, you keep spelling the band's name wrong - it's Def Leppard, not Def Leoppard.
