This is where the next installment of the Justice league begins. John goes back inside and leaves the group first he goes to Oa, and has Rayner sent back to Earth. Oa denies his request and sends him back to earth. On his way back he see a Red and Yellow Lantern attacking a blue Lantern, john rescues the Lantern but having taken a sever beating, the Blue Lantern passes in the night, not before passing his ring on. The Ring attatches itself to John.

For those wondering, Hawk Girl does come back to the JL (in Justice league unlimited season 2). At first she appears out of no where to help the JL w/ Solomon Grundy and by the end of the episode she formally re-joins and stays with them as an official team member for the rest of season 2 and 3.

Wouldnt you think this is a fair trade? Wouldnt you want your family on Earth to live? To ensure the survival of the human race? Iam not saying that the hawk people are right but theres no real good and evil in this conflict.

@killermax5 From what I gathered, the destruction of Earth was in order that the Thanagarians could gain an offensive advantage over their enemy. It wasn't to defend their own homeworld.  If their own world was in need of defense, then the mothership and the army would be there, not here. So it wasn't one planet for another. It was a planet for merely a tactical advantage. Far from a fair trade.

Green Lantern being beat down to peices to get the job done, proving that he is much more than a man without his ring.

The Flash having his affection for hawkgirl completly intact despite what she's done.

Personally, I would have voted Hawkgirl back in. She may have sided with the Thanagarians, but she thought she was doing the right thing for all concerned. When she found out that Earth would be destroyed, she immediately changed alliances, and ultimately helped save the day, as she always does.

True, things might be awkward for a while, but she definitely would deserve the second chance.

Personally, I would have voted against the idea of letting Hawkgirl come back. There are certain lines you just shouldn't cross.

However, if the only details I saw were on the Justice League's side, I would never consider the idea of trusting her again. She didn't even stop to consider something was off when they beat the crap out of the Justice league and imprisoned them.
