@GodKillerAtheist You do know Hitler made his own religion and believe German's were descended from biblical figures who if bread together could make a master race. In my view we need to look more at a persons philosophy on the proper size of government. Hitler and Stalin both believed the government should be all powerful while most Western republics believe government should be controlled by the people. If you made a check list of policies you'd find atheist agree with Hitler in many areas.

@GodKillerAtheist You and me might get along. I'm no devout Christian but I believe in god. As to what god is I don't offer a clear answer. The Atheist I'm used to think absolute government control is necessary to control man kind, but don't realize governments are lead by man. I am a strong believer in freedom both personal and economic and from what I can tell the government is the best mechanism to changed people from free spirits into controlled animals devoid of decision making.

Republican/Conservative does not equate to Christian. Anarchism is the only true form of fair government. The only problem is that humans are not evolved enough to self govern and Anarchism fails.

While I do vote conservative I admit most conservatives today aren't conservative and more or less represent religious ideology. At any rate I believe for a country to be successful that law must be above every man equally. Modern day liberals think we should support justice over law, but don't realize this is what creates dictators above the law.

Copernicus was a clergyman, he ruled the diocese of Warmia.
Copernicus was the first one who formulate an heliocentric cosmology, which displaced the earth from the centrer of the universe.

Galileo was a devoted catholic, friend of the pope too.
Galileo failed at trying to prove his works. He mixed faith and science.
Copernicus, 50 years before, succeeded trying to prove his works which displaced the earth from the center of the universe. He didnt mix faith and science.
Then, his works were published.
You can´t prove faith, you can prove science.

This is simular to what Jimmy Carter attempted. He said the US had passed peak oil production and we needed to make drastic changes while we could to the American people fired him as president and hired the biggest guzzlers to take his place. Now the world had passed peak production we have reversed everything Carter did and are consuming greater quantities of energy yet the American people act as it is their birth right to consume all they can now.

@cdltpx We need to place solar water heaters on every house we can, need to institute a park and ride system until we can get the light rail system installed,a higher quality rail needs to connect the US eastern seaboard with the western to get rid of all domestic flights.Intercontinental transport needs to move to ships rather than airplanes. New homes need to be constructed using passive heating and cooling.We need to support localized farming.
