I have to admit, that play by Hinkle, the all-in with ace king high on the river was a horrible play. The only hand that can call him there are hands that have him beat. He bet slightly more than the pot, so any set or two pair is most likely calling him there.
Mushmouth1984, you fail to see the intricate nuances in live poker that amalgamate to provide a read for Hinkle. Hinkle sensed weakness in his opponent and put him on a medium to weak pair. Needless to say, the other person didn't even have his AK beat, but regardless Hinkle correctly acted on his read and pushed allin in order to force his opponent to fold with what he thought was a low pair that had his AK beat.
Good play. Even if he was bluffing with the best hand.

Really, really nice play from Hinkle, reading an established pro like that and having the guts to follow it through with a move.

You guys are getting confused with a solid poker principle not to value bet a hand that can only be called when beat.
This guy wasnt value betting AK, he thought the other guy had a weak pair on that board and would fold. Its a bluff, and a good one.
