What wonderful nostalgia......British television was great then....there is something so honest and endearing about these productions. All gone now and we are the poorer for it.
Oliver Postgate was a genius, I loved all his stuff, I think it was his voices,
but not so many people remember Noggin the Nog, yet it was my favourite! I've just come back from Iceland and all the Viking stuff in the Museum just made me think of Noggin...LOL
I've just been down memory lane, just as transfixed as when I used to watch it the first time round. You just gotta love the names "Noggin the Nog" and "Nogbad the bad" but also the accompanying music too, excellent stuff. I'd long forgotten about this program, thanks for jogging my memory. :-)
Wonderful, simply a lovely piece of work. Thank you so much for uploading this, I've been wanting to see it again in so long. I have such fond memories of these characters.
great upload, i wonder how many were made , id like to see em all. ive all the ivor the enginesi bought recently , i always liked oliver postgates stuff when i was young
My favourite as a child, and I still love Noggin! I saw the live theatre show at the Unicorn in Covent Garden, with Oliver Postgate narrating the voice-over. To hear his wonderful voice so close in real-life was THRILLING!

Thanks for posting these classics from my childhood! They really don't make kids programmes as good as they used to. This one fired my imagination and was probably responsible for forming my liking for Tolkien and other fantasy writers.
I can remember these being shown in my school holidays and it was one of those cartoons that got me into making my own animation on 8m film. Can't wait to see the rest.
just the best. postgate forever

I had this on video when I was little. I always thought Nogbad the Bad was the best name for a villain ever. I love this episode.
