Saw Koivu last Thursday having a beer with some friend in a restaurant in Helsinki. Nobody paid any real attention to him. Here he is just a hockey player, not a celebrity like in Montreal. Correction; very wealthy hockey player that is.

I think montreal didint do right thing when they let Saku go, alltought im happy that Saku is in ducks as im a ducks fan. But feels like montreal let one montreal-icon or legend to go..

I remember when I heard that koivu has cancer.. I felt so shocking, Saku was one of our best players and still is, and I tought hes going to die or retire at least. What a survivor!

I like Saku becouse I see lot of same things in me when I'm playing. He have eye to look hole playing field and give good passes and of course score when he got the chance. And as we all know he is the perfect captain, he respects everyone in his team and never underestimate his teammates. Saku didn't quit his career even after cancer and he showed the world how he love the game. Me either will stop playing untill I die. Go Saku!
