I have the whole video of their concert in Las Vegas, and it is the best I have ever heard. They just keep getting better and better. They do the original FF songs but add a new modern upbeat, really jazzy quality that has you bouncing in your seat.
This group is so impressive! Have loved the Freshmen sound since first heard as a teenager in England fifty years ago. Saw them live in Vegas in the late 70s. They autographed two LPs I bought at the show. This new lineup is terrific. Even richer in jazz phrasing than the original group. Crisp and, well, just so unbelievably Freshmenly!
These guy's are sooo GOOD! The original Four Freshmen harmony is there. With an extra crispness that produces exciting jazz. Can you please post them performing Day By Day? Where can I get their DVD?
I'm going to the 2007 Lionel Hampton Jazz festival in February with my high school jazz band. I am also competing in the solo competition for guitar. :)
As a member of the Four Freshmen Society, I can say that these guys are great, sound great and are every bit as good as the original. This is a sound that has lasted since 1948. They have a terrific DVD just released that was recorded during performance in Las Vegas.
Very impressive! Playing instruments and singing such close harmonies. . . Good to know the torch is being carried so ably. The Four Freshmen have recorded so much great music. Everyone should have a few of their songs downloaded.
im not into this kind of music but that was pretty cool

I defy anyone to hear any rendition by this group of talented individuals and go away gloomy or angry! Wow!

Nothing wrong with this edition of one the greatest groups ever. My first jazz concert ever was FF in Raleigh, NC, in 1958. Loved them ever since.

Good luck with that. I'm graduated and my college isn't going to Idaho, so I'm sadly going to miss it :(

No drop off at all from the original Bob Flanigan-led Four Freshmen. The inspiration behind the Beach Boys.

This new lineup is as strong as any group of Freshmen ever. I've seen them a couple times. They are very impressive!
