I think Portia gave him the purse randomly to be honest. Ellen says on her show, about the accident that she was concussed for a while and perhaps Portia was too - so she may have just given her purse to the man unconciously...if that makes sense lol?

I totally agree with you about Rosie.I am a great fan of Rosie, loved her talk show. But I also have a feeling that in this forum, her somewhat overbearing (in a good way) personality is going to overshadow the rest of the panel, even the great Barbara Walters. I hadnt heard of Joy Behar prior to the view, and I believe Elizabeth was a contestant on one of the seasons of Survivor?? Anyways it will be interesting to see how it all plays out..

they also share the mobile phone with the guy so he's clearly the bodyguard. Must of been driving in the car before them

The guy who took the bag is one of Ellen's bodyguards, if you watch it again, when the camera man is talking to Ellen she kinda blanks him and says 'hey', this is being directed to the bodyguard (who seems to have shown up behind the camera guy), if you notice Ellen and Portia are talking comfortably with with him. It looks like Portia asked him to take the bag from her cos she was 'injured'

I like watching your videos. It just seems so much better hearing entertainment news from you, compared to the shows on TV. Anyways, I did see that video on TMZ and I just thought that the guy was part of the accident from the first vehicle. I think he was just trying to help Portia because she was hurt, like Ellen was. That's my take on it. :)

I feel as if this show got accidentally caught in half. Nevertheless, I watched the accident video you suggested here on YouTube and yes, why does this guy take the purse? Was there maybe some illegal substance in there, or things that should stay out of the daylight or the hands of the police? Or was he a P.A. that always takes her bag? Looks odd yes.
