I dont like active pickups, but everythings a personal preference. I love SD, and Dimarzio, dont like EMG's at all there lifeless to me. Mainly because of the preamp built into the active pickup. It could be referred to a computer generated sound. Any guitar you put EMG's such as an 81, or an 85 are going to sound the same in every guitar. While SD passives rely on the characteristic of the wood, and build more give you a more natural, and expressive tone.

that guitar has seymour duncan pick ups right? *most of edwards and aoi's guitar has seymour duncan pick ups and not EMG* correct me if im wrong : ] i still prefer EMGs than Seymour duncans though :D

@daemonsk8 aoi uses lace sensor single coil pickups combined with SD single coil to make one humbucker. and the brand says nothing since they have so many pickup models and all sound different by design
