The Beatles were bigger than their wildest dreams. No one saw it coming and no one has seen anything like it since. I was a kid when it came, and it was consistently groundbreaking for several years.
George's lyrics were so beautiful, I just wish he enunciated them better in his songs after All Things Must Pass and before Cloud Nine. He had a tendency to slur the words a bit. That's pretty much my only criticism of this genius, and it's not a big one. The reason I say it is because I never thought much of this song until I read the lyrics.
I have long strayed away from 'religious concepts' ... but I have never strayed away from George's passionate music and his genuine heartfelt lyrics -
George's voice was in top form on the LITMW album. His guitar playing was also excellent.

I bought this album when I was in high school, love it. A lot of the songs are so sad from after he and Pattie split up.

"In silence they pray, oh how they pray for the day the world gets round."
I'm not a religious person, but even I find myself praying to whoever is out there every night, for the day the world gets round.
Long live George.
