  • Lovely and eternally living song! Judy Garland wonderfully singer! Hurray the music!

  • I think the reason she was so popular in the 60's was despite her poor vocal condition, she still had her incredible interpretation, stage presence and a very good ear (was for the most part on-key).

  • yea well nothings changed...people are still the same, good ,bad, indifferent...so all you beautiful women out there, think a dudes going to be good to you...some will...but most, will be stuping your neighbor, hiding the money before you divorce, demanding, sex..when they cant even do it right (foreplay, their too rough, or they just came from there same sex partner, hey it happens...I say, get an education, save your duckettes, travel, wear a condom, always save for a rainy day dont expect O

  • Here's my thing all these men and no one could take care of her the way a man should take care of a Woman that was Judy Garland. They all made money off her and then left her.The Woman was wonderful and needed help.Instead they made there money and left her time and time again.Shame on all the men that did Judy wrong. Still Loving you Barb...

  • A terrific CD of her radio work WAS indeed released. I contributed to it.

  • More than 30 years? I am at 40 years. And no true fan would refer to anything she did as grotesque. Overworked, in debt, doing the best she could at any given moment, yes. But NEVER grotesque. The audacity!

  • I love your picture montage!!!

  • thank you for this precious gift!

  • just beautiful

  • In what form did you find the recording?

  • this is the very best ! judy was by far the greatest performer of the 20 century

  • What a fabulous slide show - thank you for posting this! It's so nice to be able to appreciate the history of a marvelous talent.

    Thank you, again,

    ~Lorrie

  • I just listened to this, and then to Liza's performance of it in "New York, New York", and...wow. Thanks for posting!

  • Absolutely beautiful, thanks for this treat to the ear. And those photos- some quite rare- were a treat also. Almost every photo of Judy available shows her in some sort of costume, but at 1:30 she's wearing what any wife/mother would wear, which is a nice change.

  • Thanks for posting this. Wonderful.

  • the picture of Judy and Vincente from 1:04 is from Liza's wedding isnt it? i wonder if Judy got along with Vincente by then.. she doesn't look too happy in the photograph!!

  • a lovely performance of the greatest singer

  • This is absolutley GORGEOUS. Judy's voice when it was its most beautiful.

Too many YT postings feature her private phone conversations, drunken tirades into a tape recorder, god-awful late '60s' concert appearances. Too much of this era of Judy's singing is ignored. I just don't get it. I guess people dig witnessing train wrecksover gorgeous singing - even her most "devout" fans. Weird.

  • @pandorabangles I always think it's so strange when people post those videos also. I just don't respect voyeuristic attempts at entertainment.

  • @pandorabangles You are absolutely on the money. There are 3 kinds of Judy fans, or followers. One loves Judy when she is on top of her game, as here. Another prefers her as a train wreck, and there's plenty of that on YT. Then there is a third group, perhaps unfamiliar with her vast body of work, that doesn't know the difference, or can't tell the difference.

  • @pandorabangles Judy Garland kept performing until the end. Your statement shows how little you know. She sang this at her last concert in America (JFK Stadium, July, 1968), beautifully. In the 1960's Judy Garland made three films, did voice over work for two more, a 26 episode TV series that was nominated for ELEVEN emmys, DOZENS of TV sppearances and hundreds of concerts. Her last concert, in 1969 was three months before she died. She was in great voice, got rave reviews. GET EDUCATED.

  • @whatwouldjudydo "Get educated?" I have been a serious Garland fan for more than 30 years, and can

tell you that waaaaaaay too much attention (especially on Youtube) is paid to her more grotestque

performances. By contrast, very little attention is paid to her Decca recordings (where her voice was at

its most technically pure and beautiful) and radio work (a terrific new CD of her radio work was released

last fall. You should know this if YOU are a serious fan).

  • @pandorabangles You KNow it! :) I'm sure Judy is Grateful for your Kindled words :)

  • @pandorabangles It is a phenomenon called "camp." An abstract, subjective concept, it can mean a few things, but I believe it means enjoying something or celebrating something for its poor quality. As Judy became increasingly careless with her talent, she fell into that category, and so attracted that sort of audience. She sounds so lovely here, but many prefer her not-so-lovely.

  • Strange how the video kept stopping just a second or two before the end . . . but I love how she finishes the song in the last 8 seconds (before the audience claps).

    Well done Michele!

  • @VideoSam16

Okay NOW it's playing properly now, just heard Judy end with "Thank you!"

  • She was an outstanding human being. This was beautiful. You are an amazing, amazing person to share so many beautiful judy records and performances with us. Bless you.
