Actually I've always thought that even though Jordan is technically better, DT lost a lot when Moore left precisely because of his lyrics and the concept in his music, i.e. wait for sleep, pull me under, space dye vest... very deep songs.

if you compare the type of songs and the concepts they gave up when they lost kevin to the songs and concepts they have come out with since they have had jordan, i believe that the change was well worth it...pretty much all of their songs since the change have been favoutires to me.

I don't know... it's like two different bands, like when Waters left Pink Floyd... they came out with A Momentary Lapse of Reason, wich is amazing, but's not really what you would expect from them. In any case I still love DT and their music. In my view I think that the problem is not only Moore leaving, but also the over control from Portnoy and Petrucci over the music. La Brie also writes very good lyrics, but they don't let him participate that much.
