  • in the darker side of the events, horowitz himself told david dubal, "you know, I thought Mrs. Reagan was shot, and then it would be me."

  • great video, thanks for posting this!

  • I still do have that scene in my memory, because in the end everything turned out to be very funny.

  • What's the name of the piece at 0:43, or is it just some improvisation?

  • hanspellegrims - that's the ending of moszkowski's "etincelles" - a mix of the moszkowski original and some horowitz additions that he always played (from the 1950s on).

  • I like it how especially Ronald Reagan handled the situation and I even remember that scene (as time goes by, yeah, yeah!!!). After all, Nancy was probably not severely hurt.

  • one second you re next to the first lady, next, she s gone

    lol

    thank you for this

  • MrZnoo - the things that hit your life, when you're famous. :)

  • 2:37 so cute Mr Horowitz ...

  • it's a major part of the horowitz personality presentation. that plus the demon plus the recluse plus the poet plus ...

  • OMG!!!

    I wasn't expecting that!!!!

    LOL hahahahaha

  • the unexpected is to be expected when it comes to this maestro. :)

  • @kasyapa

    Totally agree!!!

    :)

  • тупая

  • вы = тупоумно.

  • Man, what has happened? You know like back in the 80's and 90's, there were news that seemed important but not really important such as the video above. But today, we don't hear news like "Obama lost his left shoe" or "Great violinist visits D.C" or anything like that. There are news like these but not like in national channels. I watch "Insiders Edition" and that's the only show I know where it has news like these.

  • "The Pope broke his pinky today when he couldn't even turn on the lights" doesn't ring any bells?

  • Yep lol. Good one.

  • look how horowitz reacts haha he seems scared!! lol

  • haha

  • I love how Horowitz puts his arm around her, 1:15.

  • Hilarious!

  • Lolz

  • wait- why does it keep repeating with slight variations?

  • This was featured on "Presidential Bloopers"

  • PS The ignorant journalist calls him "Russian born". He was born in Kiev, Ukraine. It's like calling an American a Canadian.

  • thats what i was thinking!

  • he was russian born as when he was born kiev was part of the russian empire

  • and in fact at the time of this video, the ukraine still did not exist as a country and did not until 1991

  • Yes, according to David Dubal's book on Horowitz, the Maestro thought she'd been shot and that he would be next, so that explains his shock!

  • ahahaha did you see horowitz's face when she fell. i fucking love that man

  • His reaction made me laugh so hard!

  • lol...this is hilarious...thanks for the video!

its funny how she made an attempt to hold on to Horowitz, but she still fell right off the stage...and the maestro had to put his hand around her to prevent her from falling again...

  • he seemed to enjoy keeping her close. i forget if it's in the video, but at one point nancy said "that's why i did it!"

  • oh really? i thought he was gay...lolz...i noticed that Wanda looked bored during the speech, she was playing with her purse or something...hahaha

  • poor Vladimir, he must have been shocked :D

  • those catlike reflexes of his are really something.

  • lol... :D

  • OOO! hahaha she fell.

  • Funny:D

  • "Honey, I told you to do it only if I didn't get any applause..." Haha, Reagan was quick-witted!

  • interesting, eh? wonder if it was spontaneous or a stock phrase.
