Only thing wrong with this guitar is it doesn't have a floyd rose, no coil tap features, no 6 way toggle, and no reverse phase switch. :/

I've never seen an archtop Mockingbird before. The cloud inlays look kind of dorky, but otherwise, he was squeezing some kick-ass tone out of that axe.

go to your local dealer... ask to see both of them 1 by one... and play with them for like a half hour each... the shop doesn't care if its making a sale out of it ...

which ever one you like best after that... buy it ...

I have the 'Special X' version in Ghost Black.

Nice guitar, but not happy with the restricted access (especially with bends) on the highest frets.

If you're thinking about this kind of guitar, look at a 24 fret version. (ST, Exotic Classic, etc.)

US built doesn't count for anything i.m.o., some asian built guitars are easily as good, especially BC Rich and Ibanez. I have a mockingbird special from Korea and it plays as nice as any Gibson I've tried.

Fair enough. My buddy has an RR5 and it is really well built, but the stock duncans sounded really muddy so he put an Air classic in the neck and an x2n in the bridge and now its a beast!!!!!

But I still hate foriegn made guitars. I have never played one that I would actually use in gig. Just my opinion.

if you are on a budget ... sounds even better than actual prestige ibanez , fatter and cleaner in the same time . i'll never sell this guitar , it's my baby ... the very best axe i've had in my hands . and i had some really good guitars such as gibson , fender , ESP but no guitar that sounded as good as mine ... i think 'cause my axe has now 7 years
