  • Anyone else recognize Ultima Thule in that bunch? Standing there and singing about saving the world by giving a helping hand for the benefit of Africa. Who would think that ten year later they would be the most known nazi band in Sweden. Lol, the world is fucked up. :P

  • 9 people didn't give a helping hand.

  • Lövely!

  • How can this guys save the world if they're guilty for the hole in the ozone cape!

    Fucking awesome song tho xD

  • its not a bad song.quality juz sucked!

  • might have been to raise money for mullet aid

  • Comment removed

  • Haha...Ett hav av pudlar!

  • Tommy Körberg Is the best singer here!

  • Come back!

  • so much talent! :) such a crap song! :( Loving the hair tho.

  • Vet inte varför jag fick för mig att leta efter detta... Men det väcker "sweet memories":)

Kul se alla igen. Och det finns röster värda att minnas!

  • very poor song

all the singers singing the same vocal line in the choir

    what a shit

I don't admire for even Joey Tempest and John Norum don't like this.

  • wow joey here is the BEST singer !

  • @kejt93bub yes, because the rest are shit, hahaha

  • Joey's part sounds different from the other one here on youtube

  • Joey tempest is the best singer.

  • This is quite Touching I don't care from what Country you come from. As long as you get together to help Humanity.

  • This is without Roland.... it gets better around 5:00..... Its a live and live... Dont fuck with this!!!!

  • Man that was weak....set that next to Dio produced "hear n aid" man....I listen to a couple of these bands, but that was embarrassing.....pUHlease!!!!

  • 1:40 Adam alsing. Jo det är säkert

  • @skogsstjarnan

  • you can hear joeys strong voice above all the rest, even in the chorus. hes obviously the best!!! this is so sweet! the swedish we are the world :) 5*

  • @rockthenight27 but the USA one is way better... we have to admit, hahaha

  • their haircuts suck lol

  • Kanske det roligaste klippet på YouTube någonsin. Absolut ingenting slår ofrivillig humor.

  • Singeln såldes i 50 000 exemplar.

  • I LOVE YOU JOEY TEMPEST!

  • the time before autotune ...

  • kee marcello is the best! great kee! but the playback doesnt like me.. jaja... anyway... kee is the best!

  • wtf?

  • At 2:14 is Joey Tempest from band Europe. He's so beautiful!!!!

  • Except for Joey Tempest who are all these people? Does anyone know if the rest of that crowd was made up of celebrities?

  • If I recall correctly

    0:20 Robert Ernlund, Treat

0:30 Björn Lodin, Six Feet Under

0:46 Malin Ekholm, Aphrodite, later Drain

0:59 Tommy Nilsson, Easy Action Mark 2

2:15 Joey Tempest, Europe (he wrote the song)

    2:30 Joakim Lundholm, 220 Volts

    2:42 Joey Tempest again

4:10 Kee Marcello, Europe (guitar solo)

Many of the others (possibly all) are musicians in 80's sweden hard rock bands.

  • John Leven, Europe, played very nice bass. I'm not sure but Norum didn't play guitar on this song. Kee was the only one guitarist played on this truck, right?

  • @jesterfreakndaze

I thought the guitar solo was done by John Norum

  • @jesterfreakndaze this guitarrist is John Norum, not Kee Marcello. Kee Marcello just joined Europe in 1987, and this video is from 1985.

  • @naoaceitanenhumnome Whether he was in Europe at the time is irrelevant - it's clearly Kee Marcello.

  • @naoaceitanenhumnome But this is NO Europe. Are swedish musicians.

Here was where Joey meets Kee

    Sorry. My english sucks

  • Singer at :19 is trying so hard to cool. Singer at :46 sucks. Someone should tell her that she sucks really bad. HORRIBLE. The singer at 2:14 looks really cool. Possibly the best singer ever. ;-) And one at 2:28 makes Sweden look really bad.

  • so go there and do better asshole.

  • I will not go there and try better and here is why. I am not a professional singer. The only singer in this whole group is joey tempest. Rest of them I don't know how the hell they end up in this video.

  • id hate to be in a movie theater with these people. i wouldnt be able to see past their hair

  • i think due to the massiv amount of hair spray products used in this concert they definitely changed the size of ozon hole ...

  • Any one who has got this song but with better sound quality? Sure it's okay but not to good.

  • where's the black people?... o yeah, it's stupid useless Sweden. they ate them all

  • There is one black dude there if you look close.

  • Fuck off mate, thats just a stupid comment. Fuck the US, when I go abroad, ppls hate westernes, I wonder whos fault it is, I dont think it is Swedens just cause we didnt have any Black immigrants in sweden untill the early 90'ts.

  • the USA deserves to kick the shit out of socialist non countries. We don't give a fuck who 'hates' (is jealous of) us. We won't, but it would be funny to see Scandinavia freak if we took our military boys down off the wall and let the bastards of the world have them

  • @visionquest13 man... just shut the fuck up and stop say unuseful comments.

  • @naoaceitanenhumnome useless*, whatever

  • kee marcello guitar?

  • 32 tons of a hair

  • martinko33, LOL!! 33 tons, at least :)

  • @martinko33 Hair Metal MUST comeback!

  • Joey Tempest is so handsome here

  • You are right about Kenny G.

  • Who is playing the guitar solo? Sounds like Kee Marcello, from Europe. But the solo is playback, as you can tell when you hear the fast lick, it includes tapping, but it isn't there.

    Who is it?

  • I wonder if the world changed after this. I hope it did!

  • U better get a grip into reality! Take a better look in everybody's comments. Nobody like this piece of crap! Other than that, who gives a shit about exportation of music! There is no a recording business nowadays! If you wanna remain living in the eighties and listening to Roxette and Europe, and all that crap that's your problem. On the other matter, you don't even know my nationality and u surely don't give a shit. But you better learn who u're insulting before doing so.

  • OH my freaking lord! This is the worst thing ever! Swedish hard rock really, really sucks. Look at their hair, their singing. It seems that nothing good came from sweeden other than ABBA!

  • Oh yeah? then how come sweden is the third biggest music exporter in the world after USA and the UK. It seems that nothing good EVER came out of your shitty nigger country other than criminals and drugs.

  • The hair and the singing was a universal thing everywhere in the 80s.

It's a bunch of the late 70s, early 80s classic rock singers. Bands like Boston, Asia, Europe, Foreigner, Journey, and Cheap Trick were styled in this way.

Then the heavier bands that followed were known as "Glam Metal" or "Hair Metal."

Those were Motley Crue, Dokken, Ratt, and Quiet Riot.

It's not "the worst thing ever."

Go listen to Kenny G...Then you will have heard the worst thing ever.

  • Seems you don't know that much about Swedish rock then. This is part of that glam crap that existed all over the world in the 80´s, nothing representative for Sweden. Actually Sweden is one of the biggest metal and rock countries countries in the world.

  • Well kee is actually producer of this project, so he might did the solo too, but im not sure.

  • Kee Marcello is playing the piano and guitar solo. The song is written by Joey Tempest just for this projekt.

  • Pudelrockare! <3

  • my god, this is a real turkey. Rather have the black, lazy, pot-bellied, wide-nosed, yellow-eyed, clitoris circumsising, water scavenging, fly attracting, AIDS infected rapists starve to death than release this in England.

  • OMG :S some of this is very false

  • Joey Tempest was such an attention ho and it shows here. But he's still the greatest. Despite his serious full-body tics. <3

  • haha varför gillar ingen den här låten? den äger ju! och dom där frisyrerna.. you gotta love em. min pappas kompis är med haha nice

  • I agree with you man(or girl). It's a great song just bad sound quality. Malin Ekholm doesn't sound too good but I've got a version on the computer with much better quality and well she's an amazing vocalist I know the whole song by heart and juts love it. The fahsion, the decade, the guys(Joey Tempest for one) it's all perfect and good-looking. Who's your dad's friend in this vid?

  • Haha jag är tjej och du kan skriva på svenska xD. Jag heter Malin som henne haha. Jag vet inte riktigt vem det är. Pappa har vinyl singeln och kan peka ut honom på den men jag vet inte vart han är i videon.

  • Speak English dammit! ;-)

  • Haha lol you are from Sweden and you know Swedish :-D

  • Just joking.. ;)

  • All I know about Tommy is that he isn't a true "rocker". I can't believe why people thought "That Makes One" by Easy Action was great. It's pop music and not hard rock. Even if we could consider melodic rock with keyboards as today's pop I think it's better than all kind of metal that get some airplay today. The music was filled with emotion and power back in the days. Sweden was one of the biggest nations in the world producing music of the 80's!

  • Yeah i know whta you mean the thing is in the 80's we had ABBA(they quit 82 I think it was) you know after them Europe was the biggest or is the biggest rock group Sweden have had. Sure we had a big music industry in the 80's and still do but it was mostly pop and techno stuff and it never really reaches Asia and America it was mostly in Europe.

  • Well, they were quite popular in Japan though. But Swedish bands had a hard time to reach North America except for Europe and Shotgun Messiah. Alien tried with the song Brave New Love which you can find in the movie "The Blob remake" + Feel my love. But I guess people in America were busy with Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe and Poison. Sad! There were much more better bands than those IMO.

  • Almost anything get's popular in Japan no offence to them in anyway. Good cos they get mixed music culture in that way which I would say is a good thing. Never heard of those Swedish bands before except for Europe. I've heard the name Alien but nothing more really. Well hey Bon Jovi, Motley Crue and Poison are great so we can't blame America for that they've got the best music more or less. GB's got some good ones too, Led Zeppelin, UFO, Iron Maiden etc, Sweden's got Europe, Tone Norum and ABBA

  • Orly? If I mentioned Treat, 220 Volt, Dalton, Bad Habit, Glory, Nasty Idols and Swedish Erotica you have never heard of them before? Norway had Ole Evenrude he was a cult musician in Norway, especially in the AOR genre. He wrote some songs for Swedish bands like Swedish Erotica. You could say he was the answer of Norway's Joey Tempest. And you don't remember Sha-Boom? Treat opened the door for melodic rock with keyboards that Europe got inspired and released The Final Countdown.

  • Ment only sorry. Ofcourse I know what band Treat is one of the best I've heard the names of some ofthe other bands. Never heard of Ole Evenrude but my dad porbably knows who is since my dad has got CD and LP record enough to start a music shop.

Hey I'm 16 years I don't know all those saller badns that unfortunatley never made it big cos some of them should have, but I'm only into 70's and 80's rock and metal and ABBA and Celine Dion.

  • When you talk about Nasty Idols people remember them as a sleaze band. But they actually did a melodic rock album in 1989 which the band found the worst of their entire discography. I disagree since I think this is their most mature album they made in their career. It's very melodic and it's right up my alley. The music sounded more original and Swedish in that album. Jonnie Wee was the guitarist before Peter replaced him after Gigolos on Parole (first album in '89). Tone Norum was a AOR queen.

  • Sorry for the last sentence I didn't have enough space to write about Tone Norum. But I will do it in this comment. People make a big mistake to call her music pop-rock in the 80's which it wasn't. Her first two albums (One of a kind '86 and This Time '88) were pure AOR before she changed her music to Swedish pop in the early 90's.

  • Excuse my lack of knowledge here but what is AOR?

I'm a big fan of Tone Norum she can sing as hell and she's just amazing. If people don't agree on that, than they don't know anything really about music and vocalchords etc..

You can't put her song Point of no return as a pop song cos that is a melodic rock pop song throughout the whole song.

Her voice would sound great as a rock vocalist and hopefully she'll go that path with her music if she, as rumours say start singing again.

    Rock on!

  • AOR is adult oriented rock which mean bands like Journey, Foreigner, Strangeways, Dare and Survivor are great examples of AOR bands. It's hard rock for older people in the first hand and the songs are always about love and passion. AOR used to have lot's of keyboards in the songs and it's always filled with power and emotion. And you have heavier bands in the AOR genre which is melodic rock with keyboards. Point of no return is on her second album "This Time" and that is AOR. Yngwie on guitar!

  • Well rock is rock and you can't really put it as adult rock and kid rock ya know. I listen to music my mu and dad listens to cos I grew up with stuff like Mozart, Beeathoven, ABBA(my own initaitiv and I don't regret it at all), Lisa Ekdahl, Evert Taube, Povel Ramel etc.

You can't really put it as adult and kid cos how many people under 20 listens to Whitesnake? A lot including me. That's mroe or less only about sex, women and stuff like that.

  • Well that's what the facts says but to me AOR is keyboards driven rock and can only be softer or heavier. If it's heavier as I said it would be melodic rock or "pudelrock" like what we called it in Sweden. When it comes to the songs I would say it's less about women, sex and rock n roll but you never know with melodic rock bands because Treat wrote some party anthems like Rev it up, Strike Without a Warning, etc, etc. Alien was another story they wrote songs with power thanks to Jim Jidhed.

  • It sounds more "gosspel" than Swedish metal aid.

  • So embarrasing! This song really sucks and I hate Tommy N. Fuck that loser he ruined Easy Action with pop music.

This song makes any singer suck and the quality is horrible.. 220 Volt's Joakim Lundholm can sing but this doesn't make any justice with his voice.

Put in more rock and I think they would have rocked harder than this pile of shit.

  • Sure Nilsson isn't the best but the duets hed and Tone Norum have made are quite good or her parts in them anyway:).

This si written by Sweden's biggest and one of Europe's biggest rockstars through the years - Joey Tempest.

Malin ekholm can sing as hell just bad quality here. Got one better here on my computer. Too bad I can't put it up here.

  • Too bad Tone Norum didn't get a solo part in this she sings so good.

  • great haircuts!

  • I thought Band Aid was bad enough...but hey!It can always get worse!!! Hope my sweedish boyfriend never sees what I'm writing...

  • Please stop commenting some parts in English and some parts in Swedish disturbing

  • Tror inte dom känns vid detta längre....

  • The next time i have to throw up and can't, i'll just watch this and that so do the trick

  • A black day for music...

    A bright day for hairspray^^

Man skäms ju fan som metalhead och svensk:P

  • Agree but still it's good solo vocalists. Not here but I've heard them in other occations and they're good. Malin Ekholm sound dreadful(to be honest) here but I've heard other times and she's great.

  • This is actually pretty silly and pathetic, swedish muscicians tryin to do their own Live Aid. Check out the guy standing to the left of Joey Tempest, he looks... ja, han ser rent ut sagt förjävligt ful ut!

ha ha.. varför snackar alla engelska här föresten?

  • I'm posting cos it's easier for me to write in english you know it's automaticaly I alwasy talk English. One thing the guy who made this project in Sweden he's the same guy who planned USA for Africa, Hear 'n aid and Band Aid. It's the same person but it's been different songwriters. Here it's Joey Tenpest.

  • lol man u're right, it seems a worst version of pop idols LOL

  • They're so many and I only recognize two of 'em o.o

    (Yes I'm swedish).

  • Comment removed

  • Haha funny hearing that from a Japanese guy

  • Just one thing I'm Swedish but I've been in many different countries and I've lived in the UAE for four years. Iä've seen so many people and there's no big difference, so I don't see the point of you to say that we're femminine. If you mean the rock musicians from the 80's hair metal bands well then the US are even more feminine just look at Twisted Sister, GnR, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Van Halen and so on. I bet you don't even know a Swedish person you've probably never met any.

  • great joey!

  • This song is written by Joey Tempest and it could ahve been a hit for Europe if they just had put more rock and power into it it could have been a power ballad.

  • Well the only ones that got a voice is Tommy Nilsson and Joey T, but the song sucks!!! Of that many people and just two that can sing, what in hell did they find that girl???

  • The girl you probably mean who sings hreself that's one of the best singers in the whole og Norway. That's Tone norum EEurope guitarist John Norums sister. Joey Tempest produced her first single. She's a great singer she's got an unsual voice but if you ever download her songs or buy a CD or something you'll hear that she's great. This is a bad sound quakity so it sounds really wierd. Tone Norum is a great singer.

  • Wrong! That's not Tone Norum who sings solo here. She's in the video but she doesn't sing solo.

I can't remember the name of this girl though....I can't even remember the name of her band. :P But I was just 14 when this was recorded... :)

  • Hehe this can go on forever but that's Tone Norum both my mum and dad says it is and my mum is a fan. But it sure look like her. Anyway I may be right I may be wrong but if it's not her to bad she couldn't sing solo cos man I love Tone Norum she's fantastic.

  • Believe me, that's not Tone! Her name is Malin Ekholm and she sang in a (girl-)band called Aphrodite. At 00:59 just after Malin has sung and Tommy Nilsson starts to sing his part you can see Tone Norum in front of him. Dressed in black and with a black necklace. :) I agree...Tone is a much better singer than Malin...

  • Okay I believe you let's just leave it hear. And yes Tone nOrum should have sung instead. Jsut find out had to check you know cos they are quite alike in hear but the quality isn't on top exactly and I trust you now I promise.

  • Well, this makes me proud to be another Swedish rocker... NOT! Swedish metal rules but this is painful. What the hell!? How come the good singers didnt show up?

  • Do you come from Sweden? I do. These people were the rock artists from Sweden. It did show up two good anyway Joey Tempest(Europe singer) and Tone Norum(the girl in a purple-pink blouse). This is bad quality and the sound if we had been there it would probably be realy good. There could have been singers like Agnetha Fältskog, Annie-frid Lyngstad(both from ABBA(, Carola she could sing in those days when she was 15 or 16 she won ESC.

  • It's not Tone in the purple-pink blouse. Tone is dressed in black and stands to the right of the nerd in blue glasses, jacket and "hockey-frilla" :) She doesn't sing solo...unfortunatly! She has a much better voice. :(

  • Yeah I agree found out some time ago it was Malin Ekholm. Both are good singers but Tone Norum should have had a solopart here.

  • omgnuub: fuck off ! your comment is only offensive with the scandi scene !

  • Its the most hairy clip i ever seen

  • So fucking bad. The first singer cracks me up with that face because he realises he screwed up in the very first line. i think thats the singer from Treat. I laugh now but prob would have dug this in 1985

  • despite all good intentions..this was even worse than Hear N Aid! I wish i knew who all these artists were though.unfortunately the only ones I recognise are Europe...

  • Hear n aid was awesome whats wrong with it

  • uhm..it was a cheesy song? but the project served a good cause.

  • the song wasn't cheesy it was cool especially the 2 minute guitar solo

  • yeah, that was actually the cool part, the guitar solos.

  • Wow!

    Amazing! This really sucks!

Hope they got enough money to save one persons life, otherwise it sure was a waste of time.

  • Damn...that was alot of mouse and hairspray...thank goodness no one struck a match...Kaboom! Say,are the guys from Jerusalem in this video?

  • graduates from the Farrah Fawcett hair academy class of 88

who cares what people used to look like. at least they were trying to help people.

  • hahahaha, fan va skönt :)

  • Troligen det sämsta som producerats i modern tid alla kategorier. Låten är bedrövlig och framförandet om det nu ens är möjligt är ännu sämre.

  • they all have the same hair loll

  • En hel hög Pudelrockare

  • God you people are narrow-minded bigots.

  • OMG I'm glad the 80's is over.

  • oh god yeah me too fuck id kill myself if i woke up and eveyrone looked like that

  • it sucks big fucking time!!!

  • how many mattresses may could be filled with the tons of hair they carry around? ^^

  • utterly terrifying but morbidly fascinating - looks like Sweden was the spawning grounds for hair metal bands!

  • hahaha :D

  • Curioso!;

  • LOHSDFLHSDLFH look at all that hair gel.

  • this shit sux!! they are really bad singers!!!

  • this piece of crap should be called swedish mullet aid

  • This is the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen.

  • This is live, and you can HEAR it...

  • love this! it's beautiful!

  • they sings like shit :s

  • The one who´s singin' before Tommy Nilson is Malin Ekholm, she was in the girlgroup Aphrodite.

  • Awesome! There was bands such as Treat, Europe, Madison, Bedlam, Aphrodite, Red Baron, Neon Leon, Easy Action, 220 Volt & so on who helped with this raise money thing...all great!!!

  • hahahaha

  • Does anyone know how the girl in purple shirt is? She´s before Tommy Nilsson...f

  • The girl is Tone Norum, the sister of John Norum (the Europe guitarist between 1982 - 1986, 2003-)

  • That is not Tone Norum. Tone is the girl in a black shirt to the left in front of Tommy N.

  • That's Malin Ekholm she's a fantastic vocalist. Not here though sounds really bad but it not any HQ but I've heard a better version with this song and she sounds great she's great really.
