For the past year or more I have been having advancing signs of Peripheral Neuropathy (I am not diabetic). I am wondering if there is anyone else who suffers with this for unspecified reasons? It is Excruciating. I am currently on Tegretol and Effexor (Tegretol helps with the pain like razor blades slicing but not with the numbness for me). My dr. will be taking me off Teg. soon and trying something else. What other drugs HELP? The PAIN is awful!

Thank you so much for showing exactly what the pain is like. I called my son to see why I keep saying my legs are freezing and burning at the same time. Sometimes it's so bad I think of how life would be if they cut my legs off. I also have pain in both arms, lower back and hip area. My doctor is giving me Hydrocod and Gabapentin. When I say I need stronger meds they think I'm a drug seeker and give me a hard time. So what else can I do?
I am being totured with neuropatic pain. My rights have been taken from me. I cannot get proper medical care. I am being abused every way and have been suicidal. Chronic Pain is killing me. That is what they want. To kill me. Doctors in Canada are pieces of shit more concerned about big cheques from insurance companies than treating their patients. Thouandshave died in Canada because treatments for Chronic Pain have been delaye or denied. Murder for money.
I suffered a spinal cord injury and the months following my injury I developed the same type of pain you described...I was curious if you take Lyrica?
@SkyDaddy7 im 18 and i sufferd a spine injury, now every bone in my spine and neck cracks constantley around 200 times a day, it has now spread in2 my hole body i get massive shooting pains and all the symptoms of neuropathic pain. I also get really violent chronic pain like hearing gun shots wen im trying to go to sleep and the feeling ov being punched on the back of my head i recently began suffering from major panic attacks due to the cronic pain i hypoventalate and cant get my breath at 18
