Nice job man, but a little more definition would make this video easier to follow, and and easier to see the values you are putting in, but thanks anyway.
I have loads of reason refills in all styles trust me something for everyone here as well as sample C.D's/ Loop Kits/ Loop C.D's/ Tutorials and much more.

Reason is less intutive to use than FL because of the routing. You will most likely die before you ever really learn it fully.
I used Reason for 3 years and felt like I didnt know it that well cause I did minimal routing. In FL some of the harders tasks are a lot less clicks of the mouse than Reason too. But INDEED Reason has its own powerful sound, so I use both now.
i couldnt agree more.. i had reason 3 few years ago also.. i never could get the hang of it.. so i bought fl studio.. within days i was gettin the hang of it.. id like to eventually move on to pro logic.
Nice tutorial mate, i use reason in college dnt like it much tho the interface only covers quater of the screen so i prefer FL studio and cubase but reason has powerful synths :P
wot a goon and btw your tutorial is shit u call that a trance lead sounds like some cheesy bollics and that tune u made with it i dont even wanna go there...!if u gonna make a tutorial make 1 thats useful and idc wot all ther other lot say cause if they are actually using that patch there just wastin there time.

Reason is a joke. I don't give a shit that x, y and z have used it to make music because I KNOW you can use it to make anything you want but it's not as powerful as a full sequencer like logic or cubase.
good tutorial as always, but i cant help but feel this might promote "newbies" to use a paint by numbers approach to making music.
take this and learn from it. dont use patches and presets in ur songs. if you find a patch you like. find out what makes that patch works. look at the filter/osc settings and know why they are set to the way they are.
that way when you need a certain bass style you can make it if you cant find a patch for it
I try to make a point of explaining the reason for changing each setting in the tutorial, describing whether it makes the sound punchy or crisp etc.
With tutorials there will always be some people who don't actually learn from it I guess... but I'm hoping there will be others that do as you say and learn why things work and not just how!
yeah, ive seen a few of your tutorials and they are better than alot that ive seen. but sometimes i just feel that people who use a "paint by numbers" approach to music just make prudction look easy, when it in fact needs alot of creativity.
but as always you made a good tutorial. im trying to put a few of my songs on youtube, but my sound always turns out pretty... rubbish

wwwboyinabandcom 3 years ago
ummm... "haha hardstyle" and "nero" both have the style of bassline i wanna learn how to make
juancarrillo001 3 years ago
if you want a nice hardstyle bass effect. use a standard trance kick with a bit of gate, then on the offbeat have a heavy bass play for a bar.
i guess just messing around will help. but it really depends on what programs your using and what plugins you have for it.
if you have Refx's Nexus, then your pretty much sorted for making hardstyle bass effects ;)
peace =D
