  • Who else used to get scared when you heard the opening to this show? The closing was scarier, though.

  • @CrownJewel32 It's still hair tingling for both the intro and the closing.

  • The street signs and posters are in English to make them easier to understand. But the place...is the Twilight Zone. Who can name the episode from which this quote came?

  • You're traveling to another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. Your next stop: The Twiight Zone.

  • I remember the early sixties and on Friday night about 10 pm this program would come on, however the outer limits to me was scarier. Most tv sets then were black&white with vacum tubes.

  • @fartpoopmaster i agree

  • A funny Story: I introduced my daughter to T-Z when she was 8 or 10 yrs old with the introductions of the T-Z(redundant???) DVDs. After catching a few more on TV weeks later, she asked urgently, 'Dad! Who is that man with the cigarette & why is he doing that to all those people?!" This is the same girl who asked me at age 4, "Daddy? Can I have a Shamich...?". I was pooring her some soda when she was 5. I said casually, "Say 'When'..." She had never heard that joke before!! "When". I Love her!

  • ''You unlock a cinema back door with a sense of frustration, beyond it is a movie with characters of 2-dimension: a movie of no solid ground, a story with no character insight, based on a book that to read you must have no mind. you've mistakenly moved in front of a film screen of shadowy dialogue with no substance, of unoriginal things and ideas you've just crossed over into-

    The Twilight Series.''

  • @SpecterReflector Hahaha best comment ever!

  • @SpecterReflector It was 1962 genius!

  • @SpecterReflector posting this on facebook lol

  • @SpecterReflector well said. nicely put.

  • Ha! The Doppler Effect at the beginning

  • These shows may be old, but they still hold creepiness even today....

  • This is the definition of "classic"!

  • beginnin is kind of hypnotisin

  • best opening song ever to a great series

  • God... "syfy"... *sigh* It will always be Scifi to me!

  • ……. Yoss! This TV series was, indeed, far ahead of its time, only to be matched &, I daresay, superceded by (the original) Outer Limits. Thanks for the brief stroll down Memory Lane, ChaZacIsa ~ (•8-D

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • syfy channel doesn't play it much these days, but when there is a twilight zone marathon, our family TV stays tuned continuously for it's entirety!

    we love twilight zone!

  • ah what memories

  • idk i kinda wanna star in my own twilight zone episode :/

then again some of the past stars have been screwd over really badly!

  • @SpartanMk1 iwonderd that too

  • @SpartanMk1 We'll never know! o_o

  • in the 8th grade, we would occasionally watch episodes of twilight zone. oh my gosh the series is awesome. i like how they can do so much with the show and still make it awesome!

  • holy god. i've never heard such a scary soundtrack! no serious :O. this is wayyyyyyyyy scarier than exorcist soundtrack

  • this series may be old, but it still ROCKS!

  • This version of season three's opening title, seen during the second half of the 1961-'62 season, featured a slightly different orchestration of Marius Constant's theme than the previous season.

  • By far the best opening in the series. I like how they have the title in Kennedy-era block letters.

  • @EricandDish Kenedy Era? Hm, Never saw it that way, b4(was born in '64 back in the 20th Century!). However I think the iconic type-letters for the show would be the 'thin', cloudy type used during the season with the door, window-shatter, emc=2, etc. In other forums, I'v agreed that while the 1st season Bernard Herrmann them is a better done, creepier theme, the doo-DO-do-da music is the iconic more memorable. People here the name, 'Twilight Zone' & THAT theme comes to mind. That & Rod Serling!

  • this series is so good

  • i always thought that was freaky but i liked the series

  • @Azaruth008 it surpasses good

  • @Azaruth008 some 60s tv was just so well made that it is still great tv, even after almost 50 years,,rod serling knew how to make good tv shows,,

  • @Azaruth008 It used to scare the bejeebers out of me every Friday night at 9 or 10 p.m, I cannot remember but I still love it! An old hippie chick grandma of two, and mom to one son. Mr. Serling was so wonderful!! I miss his kind of imaginative and scary stories!! An old hippie chick and horror fan (almost 60 yrs, old) In Toronto, Canada.

  • @holmsatlarge The one that really got me was the classic "monster on the airplane wing"...what the heck was it called...anyway....when William Shatner finally pulls up that airplane window shade and the monster has its face practically pressed against the window, my best pal and I screamed our heads off!

  • @maryquant1967 That episode was called"Nightmare at 20,00 Feet". The creature was a "Gremlin". Yes, it is one of my favourite episodes too! When William Shatner opens the curtain on the airplane window and it is looking in at him I totally lost it too!!!!!!! It still scares me!! I still love The Twlight Zone!

  • @Azaruth008 This show gave me the creeps as a kid. I think its because Serling adds the dimension of "the mind" which is almost limitless good or limitless bad.

  • I'm the 2nd yay

  • wow im dizzy and the first one to commet

  • wrong
