i have weighed 150 lbs. for 3 years and i am 12 had a talk wth my mom and she suggested fat camp so i found this camp and fell in love by pics and stuff but i hope we can afford it
wellspring camps and the two schools are wonderful programs. i know because i went. i would reccomend this camp to any one pretty much who is overweight and struggleing, you learn a lot, while there, and the activities are actually really fun. :)
@EvilStarBurst i went also. it was about 10,000$ for 8 weeks of camp... which included charges for living, food, and any equipment you'd need besides the mandatory things to bring. it's a bit pricey, I agree. but it was well, well worth it. i lost 40 pounds in eight weeks.
@EvilStarBurst It's a bit of both. You have counsellors everywhere around you to help you get to your goal, but in the end it's really about how committed you are. If you dont try, you really wont lose the weight. End of story. But if you push yourself, it's alot easier. But the counsellors definitely help. There's also behavioral coaches who talk to you weekly about progress and any problems you've come across. it's a great program, i would highly reccomend it to anyone.
@StephBecherMusic Was it fun/ok/nice? I dont mind the hard work as long as they are kind about it(If they arnt I can show what true fat person can do...bite! I am joking btw... Though I would smack them in more ways then one... anyways.....)
@wolfur1 absolutely. if there was one thing i could comment on with 100% positivity, i'd have to say it's most definitelyyyyyy the support you get. the counselors are all early twenties, really relaxed (with the exception of a few) and overall great people. obviously, people have personality clashes when everyone lives together in (SMELLY!) cabins, but as long as you can relax, it's all good.

@StephBecherMusic
was it self discipline or did you have trainers helping you to meet that goal?
