Because men are attracted to elegance and those smooth and graceful movements and while they find the movement attractive they are very confused because a male performs it. yes, they wear soft ballet shoes. traditionally they are black, like the ones he's wearing. they don't however wear pointe shoes or "hard" shoes like ballerinas do.

Wow! What a turner! Six secondes into four pirhouettes ending en balance! I've only seen Peter Schaufuss do that. This is an exceptionally talented dancer.
I have a question and It's kinda weird but I've heard ballet dancers sometimes tend to get a really sore achilles tendon from dancing so much. I know there is plenty other sports that can give you the same problem but Ive just heard stories of dancers damaging that particular area. I ask because I'm debating taking a class but my tendon was damaged a few years back from a dog attack.

I think the dance is beautiful. I would rather date a male ballet dancer than a football player anyday. There is an air of manners that I would associate with the dancer, that I don't know if I would find with a football player.

Insane tricks but that's all I see! It is really good but I think you need to find where your dancing doesn't come across arrogant.. It seems like when you were talking to who looks like your teacher you were telling him this is what I do so listen to me! Seems very arrogant. I can guarantee you this guy is gay so don't say he's not. If you don't believe me, do some research and look him up before saying he is not. This queer is doing ballet...that's something new.
This guy is really good. But search Youtube for Barychnikov or Nureyev Le Corsaire, same dance, but lifted to Godlike heights. Also, re: the snarky sexual comments re: ballet. A ballet dancer is a world class athlete who deserves the same respect as any football or basketball great. Ballet dancers give their lives to learn an incredibly difficult art, then have careers that are relatively short since their bodies don't usually last beyond their thirties. They give everything for their art.

One of the things I don't enjoy about watching ballet is how the men are so obviously gay. I mean I don't care if they're gay or not in real life, it's just annoying when you're watching swan lake where the guy is supposed to be crazy horny & in love w/ the swan princess & as an audience member you can't get into that story because the guy lead too often has an effeminate quality to him that makes you see he's gay. Some gay ballet dancers pull off heterosexual roles perfectly, but few do.

I think it is funny that, if a guy does ballet, its automatically assumed he is gay.
There are alot of gay guys in ballet, but there are also a lot of straight guys as well.
I participated in the nutcracker this last Christmas as more of a character (as opposed to doing any real ballet dancing) and about half of the male dancers were gay. That doesn't matter though, cause even though they are gay.... they are still people and are more fun to hang out with than a lot of my straight friends.

This guy is really good. But search Youtube for Barychnikov or Nureyev Le Corsaire, same dance, but lifted to Godlike heights. Also, re: the snarky sexual comments re: ballet. A ballet dancer is a world class athlete who deserves the same respect as any football or basketball great. Ballet dancers give their lives to learn an incredibly difficult art, then have careers that are relatively short since their bodies don't usually last beyond their thirties. They give everything for their art.

One of the things I don't enjoy about watching ballet is how the men are so obviously gay. I mean I don't care if they're gay or not in real life, it's just annoying when you're watching swan lake where the guy is supposed to be crazy horny & in love w/ the swan princess & as an audience member you can't get into that story because the guy lead too often has an effeminate quality to him that makes you see he's gay. Some gay ballet dancers pull off heterosexual roles perfectly, but few do.

I think it is funny that, if a guy does ballet, its automatically assumed he is gay.
There are alot of gay guys in ballet, but there are also a lot of straight guys as well.
I participated in the nutcracker this last Christmas as more of a character (as opposed to doing any real ballet dancing) and about half of the male dancers were gay. That doesn't matter though, cause even though they are gay.... they are still people and are more fun to hang out with than a lot of my straight friends.
