So beauteful , I am haunted by this melody for few weeks. Just a question : I learned from different sources that the Coptic music is orniginally Pharonic and used in the ancien ceremonies ?
Regardless of religion : I feel that this music is pure and spiritual. thanks for sharing.
@AbeRaghad: When Sant Mark the apostle preached Christianity in Egypt almost 2000 years ago he replaced the lyrics of some of the most popular songs among the Egyptians at the time with Christian words to help spread the word faster and easier and for it to last longer in peoples minds and hearts. this is how some of these tunes survived till today because the Coptic Church is the most traditional of all churches and resists any change to faith, ceremony or form since it was first established
This Tone was used by the Egyptians to the expectations or arrival of the House of Egypt (Pharaoh), the Tone is kept to this day and used in Our church with our Hymns.
@Jwbagz21 are u sure that the muslims had invaded egypt ??
please read the history books again...what's about roman and who comes to help the coptic people against the romans who killed thausends of your people ????? pleeeeeeeeeeease !!
this is egyptian arabic language but as above the Coptics are closer to ancient Egyptian's then the modern 90% muslims because there isnt much intermixing
no that's coptic not arabic ,,the egyptian language not arabic..it's coptic language it's more like old greek language and it's the last version of the ancient egyptian language but arabic languahe came from the arabian gulf with muslems armies when they came and began to destory everything in egypt including the coptiv language but the church saves it untill now by hymns and prayers
