Jesus dies, there is silence in the skies, clouds cover the earth filling it with darkness. All nature mourned by his creator. Near the cool of the day a ray of sun breaks on the crack of a cloud, a harp and two voices break the silence of angels sing and universal: Christ was condemned to death was given for our sins, He came to connect us with God and brought us life, gave Himself to us to be happy, praise God and be grateful to him, And sing, Alleluia!
@Carminantiqua Google "Helga Thoene", she made the original analysis and wrote a book (in German), CD included. At the end there is the score... for violin and voices...
J. M. and E. Moreno, super.
D'où vient donc (et que signifie) "Chaconne-tombeau" ?

I didnt know Carlos Mena worked with Ema!
That's awesome, Carlos Mena is an awesome countertenor who needs to be recognized more for his absolute wonderful works. Ema is aswell a legend.

Isn't this just a version of the analysis of Prof. Helga Thoene (Düsseldorf) ???
It is exactly the same !!! I hope Moreno asked her for permission !
The original version is on the CD "Morimur", played by Christoph Poppen, baroque violin, and The Hilliard Ensemble. It's here on YT as well, check :
Bach Chaccone with Chorales Hilliard Ensemble 1 of 2
HELGA THOENE made the original score, Moreno only made the shift to the lute instead of the violin !!! The score is in her book !
