Xenophon and Wilkie fuck off out of our lives you Communist Nanny State Fucks what a waste you are and your voters deserve the Detention centres sky high carbob pricing right up their arses
No, ever-higher ugly DENSITIES in closer-in urban areas ISNT the answer, you fool Xenophon. That's the trouble with you hokeys from the sticks in Sth Aust. Go visit the ghettos of Sydney & Melbourne. They ALREADY have the unsustainable high densities & sardine-can populations packed-in to unmanageably small, very-hi-density urban estates. The ANSWER is DECENTRALISATION, you idiot. Start up brand new towns, well away from existing cities. Then give people & businesses the incentives to relocate.
@colindominy Hi Colin, though i agree seeing more people in the city of adelaide would be a good thing, I understand agree that it would have to be capped to avoid the situations you pointed out, I can't speak for the other councils but it's certainly the 30 year plan of the onkaparinga council to redevelop towns like noarlunga as regional centres
housing more people & allowing more room for businesses and shorter distances for foot traffic
@colindominy (Cont.) and I believe we'll be seeing more of these regional centres (towns) that sustainably house nearly 3X the amount of people is a smaller area with the infrastructure or the potential infrastructure to support it, The issue with the Seaford heights development is it's location being in a wine / food region, although we weren't able to stop this development the McLaren Vale and Barossa valley protection bills will ensure land with in the region will be protected from
@colindominy (Cont) medium - high density housing, I think there is a way to encourage the growth of South Australia while maintaining the rural areas that are or could be profitable to our economy, I think with these protection bills both our view are achievable, tourism, wine & food areas can have confidence that the integrity of the areas will be maintained & we have clearer idea where developments can be made & be beneficial for all parties concerned ,Thank you for your feeback.
